Hi Adobe, im very concerned about the path you had chosen last months,  its a fact that the stability of your products is very very poor. the forum staff has the face to say things like " ok well , in pc works, tell me if it works in mac"  and it is UNACCEPTABLE, your clients are profesiional editors with very tight timings, and EVRY TIME YOU FAIL, YOUR CLIENTS  CAN LOSE A CLIENT.

im sure that you know so hard is gain a client and so easy is to lose.

please, please, CHANGE THIS,   YOU HAD A HUGE OPPORTUNITY  WITH THE FINAL CUT X MOVE, BUT BE SURE THAT IF YO NOT CHANGE THIS ATTITUDE, DAVINCi RESOLVE WILL REPLACE YOU.

every time your staff say "ok well, try to encode with only CPU" you make me to overheat my mac, lost a lot of time inactive because the software is busy while encoding, and a lot of things more that I DONT HAVE TO ACCEPT BEING A PAYING USER.

PLEASE, CHANGE THIS,  I CAN NOT , AND DONT WANT, TO PUT MY LIFE IN YOUR HANDS, EVERY BUG YOU HAVE , I POTENTIALLY LOSE CLIENTS,

CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?

This is a user-to-user forum. The place to post things that go directly into the development team systems is the UserVoice bug/features forum ...

Adobe UserVoice Bug /Feature form: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro

I'm just back from being a teaching assistant for six labs mostly in AfterEffects/Premiere workflows. While there, I had the opportunity to meet both Ivo Manolov who was brought in a few months back to reorganize and rebuild the internal systems to get the dang bugs out, and one of the engineers whose job is to read every bug report received.

A couple things ... first, as nearly the entire 13.x series was about working through bugs, with very few new features, the total data on user stability is up. However ... they had a big enough list they ain't done yet. And as they run across more hardware than anyone else, it's a grind to work through every possible permutation. But they're working at it.

So ... file a report of EVERYTHING that isn't working for you on your computer on the UserVoice system. The more data they get about things that aren't working the better they'll be able to fix them. And again, they do read every thing received. Both Ivo and the engineer repeatedly asked people to get everyone to post their bugs on the UV system.

On this forum, post the issues you're having with specific details, and perhaps the group of rather experienced users here can help you get at least some things working.

Hey all - finally solved this issue!

I moved to Davinci Resolve Pro (no joke). Been using Premiere for years professionally and just switched. I honestly will n-e-v-e-r go back.

Hope this helps!

While my Media Company Loves The Rest of Adobe Creative Cloud, we are Ceasing any new Projects, Training, or Support in regards to Premiere Pro at the end of the year. Throughout 2019 we just ran into constant crashing, very slow performance, and lost work and productivity reinstalling, resetting Prefes & Caches, plus troubleshooting with Adobe & Community Professionals. We hoped with excitement that Premiere 2020 would save us from jumping ship.. but the day after we installed Prmiere 2020 and lauched OK a couple times, we came into work the next day all Excited to work with it and It won't even Launch, even after resetting prefs, Cache and reinstalling twice! So that's the last Straw, We are permanantly switching to Final Cut Pro & Motion for all New projects as of Jan 1st, 2020. It's was an awful year for other 2019 CC products too but updates finally fixed all the issues we were having. I'm Happy to Say the other 2020 Apps are performing much better than last years upgrades. The New Final Cut 10.4.7 is Way Faster and snappier and navigating is so sweet without hiccups and delays on screen. Unlike Premiere, No more guessing "is it working on something or has it crashed?" Yea sorry its come to this.. but my customers don't give a Rats A** what program we use as long as their project looks awesome and gets done when we said. Adobe may think they "Own" Us but I'd rather spend the time learning a New App than trying to fix The Premiere Disaster. Sincerely, RpH Media, Syracuse, NY

There are no perfect editing progams.  They all have bugs.  There are so many different  computer configurations.  Use the one that satisfies all of  your needs.

Agreed They all have bugs.. but I'm Not "Copping Out" to losing hours & days of work, contacting support, reinstalling, waiting for updates, and 25 workarounds required just to make it work. No other Video Editor or DAW, Digital Audio Workstation App I use is as Pathetic and Broken in so many areas as Premiere is now. 2017, 2018 versions were very good.. but can’t run them now either now much less find a way to re-install them under current OS. All my other CC Apps Work beutifully so there is hope for them.. just no hope for Premiere. It's simply a Bloated, Fat, Slow Pile of Manure. Good Bye!

I'm not "Adobe". I'm just another user like you.

Since the current program manager took over a bit over a year ago, the Premiere team has been rebuilt and reshaped internally. The list of bugs they've quashed is extensive, but Ivo and others will tell you they are very aware of how many more there are to get bonked. Which is why new features aren't a big priority.

Previous management did seem to put new toys over bug fixes. And built up a huge supply, shall we say.

As to other applications ... I work with a number of colorists, and participate on the LGG colorist's forum. There were a number of post houses that stayed on Resolve 14.x through the entire 15.x life cycle as in their shop, their gear, their media, they didn't find a single 15.x build stable. While most other shops were decently comfortable with some or all the15.x series.

BlackMagic sells or provides software cheap as they want you to buy their gear. The software is a loss-leader for them. So in Resolve, which I do use ... my Tangent Elements panel is throttled WAY back. Very little of the controls are "mapped" at any one time, and many things it could do ... BlackMagic will not allow. BlackMagic does NOT allow the Tangent mapping software to be used with Resolve, only the built-in Resolve mapping.

Why? Well ... they want you to buy their control panels of course! Right.

It's decent enough software, although I don't like to edit in it. Some do, which is fine. And I don't like the UI layout of the color page very much either, but ... you have very little control in Resolve, compared to Premiere. Now, for color, which is what Resolve started as ... you do have a ton of tools.

Avid has cool points also ... and very specific machine requirements and cost.

They're all just fancy hammers. Use whichever works best for you for specific jobs.

And give the engineers detailed accounts of where Premiere is screwing up on your system & media.

Thanks Neil for fast response, i want to believe that posts like mine will move your souls and fasten your moves. I know that you understand my position and you and your team will do the necessary things to avoid a massive number of people saying bye to adobe  and saying hello to thefoundry and black Magic. All my respect to you, but Adobe has to change this path they had taken.

Hi, I'm staying cool.  The stability is almost there and have faith in Adobe.  Plus, we don't have to use the new update immediately.  Hang back and use Premiere Pro 13 for a month or two.

Yes Boka, but this answer is the same kind that "use only CPU" . It is not a valid response from a company like Adobe. And even more, im at the point that i have the faith that actual Bugs Will be fixed, instead of new ones. Its an evil bucle.
