Video Lounge

I have made DVDs in the past with Adobe Premiere Elements.  I have not used the recent versions that do not provide DVD burning capability.  I would like to be able to burn a blu-ray (larger file size than DVD).  Does anyone have a software recommendation as well as blu-ray burner recommendation?  I have been researching on line, but thought someone might have some experience that might help me.  Thank you very much.

Hi everyone,I am running into a strange issue when queuing a 1920x1080 59.94fps composition from After Effects 2026 directly into Adobe Media Encoder via Dynamic Link.Whenever I select H.264 with the default Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate preset and switch Bitrate Encoding from VBR 1-pass to VBR, 2 pass, the Target Bitrate [Mbps] slider and numeric input box remain completely locked/grayed out at 21.40 Mbps, even though the Maximum Bitrate [Mbps] slider right below it is unlocked and editable.Full screenshot of Export Settings dialog: https://media2url.com/m/084ff780766b4b (captured via screenshot to url)What I have tried so far:Switching Hardware Encoding to Software Encoding in the Video tab (still keeps Target Bitrate locked until I toggle the Frame Rate checkbox under Basic Video Settings).Exporting a ProRes 422 master first and dragging that MOV into Media Encoder standalone — when I do that, both Target and Maximum Bitrate sliders work normally. Is there a specific Dynamic L

I just saw Adobe is buying Topaz Labs;  What do we think of this? Adobe to Acquire Topaz Labs SAN JOSE, Calif. —June 25, 2026 — Adobe (Nasdaq:ADBE) — the global technology leader that unleashes creativity, productivity and customer experiences through innovative tools and platforms — today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Topaz Labs, an AI company specializing in industry-leading video and image enhancement models.Adobe empowers everyone from first-time creators to creative professionals and enterprises with groundbreaking AI tools and technology across every stage of the creative process. I’ve been working with more short-form video content recently and I’m trying to improve the workflow before importing everything into Premiere Pro.When videos come from different sources, I find it easy to end up with duplicate files, different resolutions, and several versions of the same clip. This becomes especially noticeable when working with Instagram Reels and other short-form content. How do you normally organize your source videos before starting an editing project? Do you keep separate folders for original and downloaded media, use metadata, rename everything manually, or follow another workflow?I’ve also come across browser-based tools such as Indown.mobi when working with publicly available Instagram media, but I’m mainly interested in how experienced editors organize the files before they enter Premiere Pro.

I’ve recently been working with more short-form videos and have been thinking about the best workflow for preparing them before bringing them into Adobe editing software. One thing I find challenging is keeping source videos organized before starting an editing project. When there are multiple clips from different sources, it can become difficult to remember which files are original, which ones have already been edited, and which clips still need processing. For those who regularly edit TikTok, Instagram, or other short-form videos, how do you organize your source material before opening it in Premiere Pro or After Effects?Do you keep everything in separate folders, rename files manually, use metadata, or have another workflow that makes the process easier?I’m particularly interested in hearing how experienced editors handle short-form content when they have a large number of clips to review. Are there any Adobe features or third-party workflow tools that have made this process significa

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Adobe customer support. I called to address a specific issue and, after clearly explaining my problem, requested to speak to a supervisor. Instead of connecting me, the representative put me on hold for several minutes only to return and ask me to explain my issue again! When I reiterated my request for a supervisor, I was told it would be a long wait. I agreed to wait, but the rep came back to say it would be too long. Despite my patience, she insisted on trying to fix the issue herself. She placed me on hold once more and then ended the call without resolution.I spent 30 minutes of my lunch break trying to resolve this issue, only to be treated with dismissiveness and inefficiency. This level of service is unacceptable and highly disappointing. Adobe needs to seriously improve its customer support procedures.

I would like to ask about the current Linux plans. I’m not here to drop another standard feature request; I want to look at this from a pure engineering and platform strategy perspective. The old arguments against a Linux port like lack of secure media pipelines, fragmented GPU layers, or a tiny market share, don't really hold up anymore given how the enterprise desktop landscape has shifted:1. VFX/Post Infrastructure is already there: DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, Houdini, and Blender run natively on Linux. Post-production facilities are already heavily optimized for this environment. The pipeline exists.2. Complex UI and Client Engines: We have highly customized, resource-heavy desktop applications (like Opera GX) maintaining native Linux pipelines across Ubuntu and Fedora. The maintenance overhead for cross-platform desktop targets is a solved problem.3. Media Security: The deployment of ARM64 Linux alongside native proprietary DRM modules (like Widevine/libwidevinecdm, recently done by Goo

Since Adobe is very strict in forcing everyone to get a subscription, they will soon find out this is going to backfire badly. I speak with many young people, students and hobby enthusiasts. They are all leaving or have left the Adobe platform in favor of DaVinci. Simply because it's 100% free and legal to own. Schools still try to educate students with the Adobe system but outside the curriculum there is no more love for Premiere. Many professional organisations are leaving the Avid platform now: it's very expensive, their file handling is a nightmare, people don't learn Avid anymore and Avid is completely clumsy for fast online productions with simple effects and different screen ratios. And those professional organisations also skip Adobe premiere as the go-to Avid replacement in favor of DaVinci. As a long time motion designer and Adobe user, I am disappointed to see that even our broadcast station is also moving from Avid straight to DaVinci. I was really hoping for Premiere because

I am on the search for a decent AI tool to clean up some old (town history) videos.  I gave up on Topaz a year ago because it didn't seem to really accomplish much and the price has gone way up.   I haven't seen anything like an Adobe Plug-in which is a little surprising.  Has anybody found something that works, Premiere related or standalone, to clean-up some older VHS era videos?

Seeing that Adobe is killing off Rush is a bad decision unless Premiere Pro embraces many of those light features.A lightweight, fast, east video tool has been an important part of our business. We can get stuff out easily and quickly then later finetune it for a more robust version.Plus...not all of us are iPhone users. I'd love to see what Adobe's plan is to support the features and functions many of us have come to count on!

I run a YouTube channel about post-production. I would like to make a video that explains why some people using Premiere Pro cannot consider switching to DaVinci Resolve. What interests me is to highlight which features exist in Premiere Pro and, unfortunately, are not available in DaVinci Resolve, preventing the transition. I understand there are other reasons to choose Premiere, like it being the market leader and allowing certain integrations, such as with After Effects. But I really want to know in what specific areas Premiere Pro, as an editing software, is actually better than DaVinci Resolve. Of course, I know that the best software is the one you feel comfortable with and have your habits with. But that's not my question. My question is really, what are the features that exist in Premiere Pro and do not exist in DaVinciResolve?

Premiere 25 crashes when Hit reset FX config. Yes I’m using 2025 version because 2026 version was totally bugged and unusable with a6700 footage.

I'm with you.  I'm no noob.  I've been editing for 20 years, the last 4 on PPro.  It's a truly horrible, buggy, unstable, unreliable program.  AVID has it's problems, but it had always hummed like a race-car for me.  Unfortunately due to work circumstances, I have to use PPro.  It is shortening my life and thinning my hair.

Sorry, this wasn't meant to be a reply but you can't delete comments in Adobe forums. Another stellar design choice from the people who can't fix their own apps.    Mod note: Your post was branched and moved. A new title was added.

I'm hesitating between Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Can you tell me what features exist in Premiere Pro that don't exist in DaVinci Resolve, and that would justify the huge price difference? I understand there are other reasons to choose Premiere, like it being the market leader and allowing certain integrations, such as with After Effects. But I really want to know in what specific areas Premiere Pro, as an editing software, is actually better than DaVinci Resolve.

Trying to open Premier Pro, I get the above error message. My answer is "No. Absolutely not."Why on earth would I give any app whatsoever access to my entire documents folder, desktop and downloads? But it won't open otherwise, so I need a workaround. Fast.   2019 MBP running macOS 11.1. I'm really hoping this is a mistake.

Cinestudy (cinestudy.org) presents a new EDIT THIS project. We provide all the footage, you get to download and edit - all free. This emulates the relationship between the director and the editor - in this case - YOU!We are providing the raw unedited footage and give you some direction on what we're looking for and now it's up to you to do the edits. https://cinestudy.org/2026/02/20/edit-this-podcast-documentary/ In this project, it's a podcast/documentary for the Sabo/Ross Experiment Podcast where we went to Ohio Renaissance Fair. We interviewed several people (with two cameras), shot B-Roll of the events and shows, and we recorded host segments. You can make your version as either an episode of the Podcast using the host segments as introductions and a close, or purely as a documentary on the Renaissance Fair. It's up to you.We will be doing some review episodes where we watch your edits and give our notes. You may upload your versions of the project on social media and anywhere you

The video is not intened to show that Premiere is better than Resolve or that Resolve is better than Premiere. It is demonstrating how video ediitng software can make use of the computer's hardware. It might be helpful to some of you. https://youtu.be/xthbUr_T-aA

Hi    I missed to downlaod the two months befroe had in this website 35+h training video in PP and AE. If anyone downlaod can you pls share the video in following email with google drive  [Personal information removed by moderator.]     Thanks

YunSoft is just a small engineering shop. We mostly build Web3 systems and Telegram Mini Apps. Lately, though, we’ve been tinkering with AI to see if we can cut down on the manual grunt work in our workflows especially when handling heavy digital assets.I’m curious has anyone here tried baking AI automation into their production pipelines or tech stack? We are still testing the waters and would love to swap notes with folks doing similar stuff.

Steps to create your own previews for Premiere Composer and Animation Composer extensions from Mister Horse. Mister Horse created two great extensions, Animation Composer and Premiere Composer, for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Composer, respectively. Operationally and visually they are nearly identical, which is a nice consistency. They have a very good feature for keeping user libraries of assets with fast-loading previews. Perhaps my favorite feature is that when you select a folder in the extension's User Library section, it presents previews for not only the files in that folder but also all of the files in that folder's subfolders. You can navigate to any of the subfolders to see only the files in that subfolder (and all files in that subfolder's subfolders). They are very good extensions, but there are limitations. Probably due to licensing costs, Mister Horse changed the User Library's preview renderer to create previews for only H.264 files, and to keep the extens

What faults are likely to occur when filming while using an SD card whose write speed is not fast enough?  I am filming in ProRes 422HQ 2160 P 50 with a Sony Tough card 256GB write speed 150MB/s and the results look good with no dropped frames, but are there any subtle errors which I don't notice?
