We've all been in this customer service situation at one time or another.  You walk in to the office/bank to speak with an agent. Their phone rings, they answer and instead of putting the caller on hold or transferring the call to another agent, they keep you waiting a long time while they help the caller. Yesterday, I had the reverse situation.  I called an out of town bank.  They put me on hold and never came back.   Calling back resulted in much the same thing.   I asked for another agent, she said none were available.  I asked her to take my number and call me back when she was free.  She never called me back. Who should get priority -- the customer on site or the customer who calls?

Quick question. I am a Graphic Designer. I have a client who wants a logo and also needs a "mascot" for their company (Think Geico). So it will be animated at times. I do not do animation. Would a professional animator prefer to have a drawing that I created or is it easier to start with their own drawing? Hope that makes sense.

Why does my new Epson P800 printer only print 1/3 to 1/2 of the sheet when I start up after a day's rest?  This is hugely wasteful of paper and ink. Is this an Epson issue?The title question says it all. [title edited by mod]

When I'm away from the computer for an hour, my workspace simply disappears. All I can see are the pallets and toolbars. My screensaver takes the place of workspace. What's going on?

I'm a little confused on conflicting information from the moderator. I got an email from a moderator, that the article not was approved and two e mail to the article was approved. There was no justification of why the article not was approved. I would have liked to have a explanation from the moderator so that I don't make the same mistake next time. It was impossible for me to find an e mail address, so where find I them. If the moderator reads this must he or she would like to write to me and give me a reason on why he or she could not approve my article and maybe also about the article is approved now. Maybe there are also others who read this here that can tell me where I can contact the moderator. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone!I'm writing a research paper and I drew the short straw in topic about photo touching for my animation class.  Luckily, I'm a photographer and graphic designer so I'm good as far as Photoshop is concerned... my question has more to do with the uses of photos in animation.  I'm trying to brainstorm and all I've come up with thus far is static backgrounds for animated videos or even websites and textures. Maybe I'm not seeing the full potential of photos combined with animation. For those of you who work in the industry or have ideas, I would love some suggestions. Thank you!!Shelly

I just read this article Motionographer Too old for mograph? which talks about future goals and paths for creatives (specifically for motion designers but applies to other types of digital artists). In my own experience, I would consider myself a "compulsive maker" who doesn't really enjoy business administration but does enjoy writing and teaching. What are your thoughts about the future for creatives as they enter their 40s, 50s, and 60s?

Why does the header on my template go gray when I type in the body of the memo?

I'm sure there is some responsible reporting going on there, but feel that the "alternate truths" and spin they portray is propaganda and is counter-productive to a unified nation.
