Hello,
I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and wanted to know what the best video codec and audio codec to use when I export to create a video file to insert into flash to convert to a swf file for breeze? I am having trouble with the audio, must I demux it first before I put into Flash? Or is there a audio codec that I can use in Premiere so I don't have to demux the audio?

Also, when I insert a swf file in breeze plug-in for PPT, it does not play the video or give me the controll by presentation playbar I checked off. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, could use some help, thanks.

Thanks, but you cannot import flv into breeze unless your doing a headshot.

You must only input swf files into the slide area.

I got the video to play in the slide area, but with out controls. Not sure what is going on.

Also, I would not recommend installing Flash 9 to use with breeze until they get all the bugs worked out. Too many work arounds that lead to other problems.

Thanks anyway.

Hi dbruiz,

I'd like to make a correction on that fallacy.

You can actually use FLVs in SWFs inserted in PowerPoint. All you need to do is upload the FLV in Breeze as a content, take note of the URL (i.e http://mydomain.breezecentral.com/myUploadedVideo), create a SWF in Flash, use a mediaComponent to referrence the absolute URL of the FLV followed /output/filename.flv (i.e. http://mydomain.breezecentral.com/myUploadedVideo/output/filename.flv) and insert the SWF that contains the mediaConmponent into PowerPoint.

HTH.

Jerich0, I tried this and when I publish it, the swf opens a connection to the server, and starts streaming but nothing happens. Just a blank movie.

The content is at (FLV):

http://breeze.extn.washington.edu/p45023528/

and the swf is at

http://breeze.extn.washington.edu/p17629788/

I created the swf by creating a new document in Flash 8, selected components, edited the infomation in media player and saved the file.

any suggestions?

Hi dbruiz,

Usually, as far as Flash is concerned, converting your movie into AVI and embedding it into Flash works well for both the audio and video. As far as demuxing the audio, I would advise that you try to minimize sound compression if possible as this can cause some audio lag if the video were embedded in Flash.

Although as far as best quality for audio and video in Flash for use in Breeze, FLVs would be my best recommendation, I'm kind of biased since I worked with Flash for some time.

As for the SWFs not playing in PowerPoint, if you have FlashPlayer 9, please contact us via the support page so we could check if we could provide any additional insight for you or check what is wrong with the SWFs in PowerPoint.

Btw, you can check if you have FlashPlayer 9 by going to the link below:
