Framemaker ACE Certifiaction Exam

Hi Folks,

I am about to do the Framemaker ACE Certification Exam ( 9AO-077). I am finding it very hard to get information about the exam except for what is in the Exam Prep guide. Can anyone who has done this exam share their experiences and give advice.

I am particulary interested in the format of the exam, what resources to study, sample exam questions etc.

I am a newcomer to Framemaker so any advice will be welcomed.

    I haven't taken it since FM 7, so I can only speak to that experience. It was a multiple choice test, but it was very challenging. If you are a newcomer to FM, I'd recommend waiting. Some of the questions could be answered with book knowledge; however, some could only be answered if you were intimately familiar with the program. At least in the past, the test was craftily designed to make sure that you had some in-depth experience using the software.

    As far as other resources like study guides or sample questions, you won't find anything except for what Adobe provides. It's not a widely-issued test with that garners lots of attention... if you think about it, it really is only taken by a niche of users for a niche product to begin with.

    Thanks for your comments Russ. Unfortunately I have to take the exam in the next two weeks (need it to apply for a job) so it looks like it's going to be a tough couple of weeks !

    Anyone got any suggestions on what to focus on, any resources (online, books, braindumps etc) I could use ?

    You'll find quite a bit of the exam is based on Structured FrameMaker and

    XML knowledge.

    Know what DTD, EDD are and be able to perform basic edits in a structured

    FrameMaker document.
