Generative Fill

Generative Fill is not working for me. I keep getting a message saying to check my internet connection because the service is not responding. And I have checked, and it's a VERY FAST connection speed. My internet connection can't be the problem here... could there be something else going on? I would LOVE to be able to use this new feature!! I use a Mac. Thanks

    so i uninstalled becuase I was not using it as often and it was working fine! then i reinstalled it to use the generative fill again but this time it was greyed out. so right now i opened photoshop and it works again! so not sure if that was a glitch before biut so far today it is working.

    i am facing the same issue the only exception is i am ussing window 11

    Gen Fill has moved to Photoshop release 25.0 try using it there. If its not working please supply your sytem info from the help menu.

      Generative fill was unavailable and greyed out for me as well. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but still the same problem. I'm using Windows.

        so i uninstalled becuase I was not using it as often and it was working fine! then i reinstalled it to use the generative fill again but this time it was greyed out. so right now i opened photoshop and it works again! so not sure if that was a glitch before biut so far today it is working.

          @iamrootbytes could you share more info, screenshots or video, of what you are seeing? When did GF last work, are you on the latest version of Ps beta: Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.7.0 20230628.m.2223 0770f83 x64

           

          Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall Ps beta via CCD?

                  Hi Cory, I tried running GF again, as requested. (FYI, this was after I restarted my computer earlier.) Today I opened up a smaller file in Photoshop Beta to try out... but now GF is disabled (so I now can't even attempt this task, which is a bummer). When I click on the GF button, I receive a message saying to connect to the internet to use GF. So here's the info on my internet speed. I use AT&T fiber and ran a speed test using speedtest.net. According to SpeedTest, Download speed is 776.42 Mbps; Upload speed is 611.90 Mbps. They also provide Ping (ms) data: 15 idle latency, 41 download latency, and 35 upload latency. Hope this info helps.

                    Curious what happens if you choose a smaller file size, like 1k x 1k, does it work then?

                     

                    What is your internet speed when you test, curious what sort of connection you have.
