Control+Spacebar zoom not functioning the same

I use control+spacebar+left click to zoom in and out all the time, I love the way that it works with holding left click and swiping right to zoom in, and swiping left to zoom out. The other day I got onto Photoshop and started working and the functionality of this shortcut had somehow changed to the normal marquee selection tool instead. Obviously I can work around this, but I would really love to have it back the way it was. I've looked everywhere I can think of to find the settings for it, (preferences, keyboard shortcuts etc.) but so far I have been unsuccessful.

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Thanks

Correct answer Jesper Storm Bache

The marquee selection behavior is used when the graphics processor is off.

Go to Preferences>Performance and enable "graphics processor" to get the fast "scrubby zoom" behavior.

This change takes effect on the next document that you open or create.
