Applying adjustments layer function to a one of layer under the Group

I have a question. Could you tell me how to do in below?


I have two frames in a one of the Photoshop tab and I created a "Group 1" folder in the pane "Properties". It's positioned in the right corner of the Window.


However, When I use exposure setting of adjustment layer function against a one of layers that positioned under the "Group 1". It applies the same exposure setting against a one more layer even it's not under the "Group 1" folder.

I guess it's not apply the exposure setting except for under the "Group 1" folder usually.

 

About my environment is that I use Photoshop ver.22.2 for 360 photo editing. It's final version of editing 360 photo in Adobe Photoshop.

 

Could you tell me how to apply exposure settings against a specific layer to do comparing the color of the two frames using Adobe Photoshop ver.22.2.

Pleaase, take a screenshot of your layers panel to make it clearer

But if you want to apply an adjustment layer to a specific layer or group, then you need to Create Clipping Mask. This can be done to either a layer or a group. And then your adjustment layer will only affect that layer/group.
Also, you can make a mask on the group and apply the adjustment layer inside the group with the mask and then the effect of the adjustment layer will not spread beyond your mask

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

 

Setting a Group’s Blend Mode to »Normal« will cause Adjustment Layers in the Group to only affect Layers in the Group.

    Thank you very much for your replying. it was fixed. however, I will upload the screenshot for a new Adobe user. I put red highlight on the two layers and it's boarder. it's different white blance due to 360 camera.

      We do that by clipping the adjustment layer to the laayer below it.

      The screen shot below shows four identical red squares each on a different layer.

      If you click on the 'cliiping' icon, (my lower green highlight) it restricts the effect of the Hue/Saturation layer to just the layer below it.  That is also reflected in the down facing arrow (my upper green highlight) that tells you this layer is clipped.

          Thank you very much. I could do the adjustment layer to the specific layer by your suggestions "Clipping Mask".

          Now I could match the exposure of the layer with main layer.
