I've been playing around with various demanding games and also using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects for my design work.   Currently, I’m torn between getting an NVIDIA RTX series card or an AMD Radeon card. Does anyone have experience with both in terms of performance and compatibility with Adobe Creative Suite? Hi everyone!I have a question. I have been dissatisfied with my RTX 3060 12GB for the past few months (I had the same experience using Premiere with the GTX 1660). I am also not happy with my NVIDIA graphics card in other scenarios. Therefore, I am considering building my next PC not only with an AMD CPU, but also with an AMD GPU. I am thinking about a setup with a Ryzen 5 7600X or Ryzen 7 7700X, 64GB of RAM and an RX 7600XT.For those of you who have experience with AMD GPUs in Premiere, could you please tell me how well they perform? Hey there. I currently use After Effects to edit videos. Most of the clips are 4k but I downscale them to 1080p but stilll without any effects just the clip imported to a 1080p composition and resolution set to 1/4 i get very laggy previews. I have to encode those to prores and then i can preview smoothly at 1/4 resolution but 1-2 effects make it laggy again. Im currently using a igpu. Hi Guys, I want to add a Nvidia 3060 12gb version to my system to get better timeline performance and when twiddling with effects and color grading. Final render speeds for me take a back seat. I can wait. What i want is more responsiveness on the UI for color grading. For example when i change workspaces theres a 7 to 8 secs pause the the screens white out. The material weighs approximately 5TB, so I would like to ask for recommendations for external hard drives that meet the following requirements: -Large capacity (8TB or more). -Good read/write speeds. -Reasonable price. I know that SSDs offer the best performance for editing, but I understand that external SSDs with capacities greater than 4 TB are scarce or very expensive. Hello,I just bought a second hand GPU intel arc B580 as an upgrade to my GTX 1060 card to help me with 4K video editing of 10 bit 422 h265 footage that my camera shoots.The card passed all the standard stress tests in furmark and OCCT just fine.But when I try to edit any 4K footage or project that I worked on in the past, there are artifacts throughout my playback window as seen on the video at 0:20 and further.Any idea what might causing that?The GPU is also very underwhelming in terms of performance, but I have no comparison since till now all the "heavy lifting" was done by my CPU, and it was handling the playback smoothly. I post regularly on the After Effects forums where I do my best to help others.  And I frequently see requests on reddit and youtube for advice about picking between two computers. Hi,fessing up that I am clueless when it comes to computers and what is needed for video editing (the last time i edited anything was 24 odd years ago on a i mac).  I have been asked by some clients to make some tuitional videos and I haven't a clue what specs I need when it comes to a PC.  My current PC is about 10 years old and wont handle Premier Pro (which I have as part of my Adobe Package).I have been to my local independent shop who quoted £2500 to build me one (my financier and wife) says for that price it had better be able to travel in space and time.I then checked with my local PCworld Curries and have these specs.  And I have absolutley no idea as to whether they are good enough to edit video or not.  My video will be either shot on a Canon R7 and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 both using 4K Any help would be greatly appreciated.  My budget is approx £1000 Specs: - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060- 8 GB GDDR6RAM- 16 GB DDR4 (3600 MHz)- 128 GB maximum ins

I have over 100 episodes of 20-minute 1080p .mxf footage and plan to use a media intelligence search tool. My current 2017 iMac (i5, 32GB RAM) struggles even with just 30 short MP4 clips (30 seconds to 2 minutes) when using the tool — it constantly shows a “memory running out” warning. What specs would you recommend for smooth, AI-assisted processing of large .mxf files? I’m considering a MacBook Pro M4 Max with 128GB of RAM, but I’m not sure if that’s sufficient.

I tried downloading Adobe InDesign CC app on my MacBook Air and found out it's too old to run InDesign. My laptop is on MacOS Big Sur and can't be updated to a later operating system anymore. (Doesn't really have enough memory anyway and it's an old computer). I'm on a very tight budget but need to be able to run InDesign mostly for documents, layouts, etc. Will a refurbished 2019 MacBook Pro work? It doesn't have the latest M series core processors, but does have retina display, 16GB memory, 512GB storage, 4GB video card and i9 processor.  I don't want something that won't work in a year, but I'm happy if I can get 3 years of good use out of a refurbished model. At that point I may be able to afford a new one.Thanks for your help.

I have a laptop with an iGPU and a RTX4070.When using premiere pro, I notice that until about 30% of export, the RTX4070 is used. After that, premiere pro makes it switch to the iGPU.I have tried following steps:- Using windows settings, setting the preferred GPU to the RTX4070- Using Nvidia control panel to put premiere pro under the RTX4070- Going into BIOS and tell my system to use the RTX4070 GPU only Are there other steps I can do to make it actually really use the RTX4070?Or did I really spent this much money on a laptop, in order to have an old brick when it comes to premiere pro?If so, it is time to say goodbye to Adobe for video editing, as the least they could do is put a MASSIVE disclaimer when looking at the website of premiere pro when checking GPU compatibility to check whether a future expense is a good one. I did not just spent almost €2000 to have a brick when it comes to video editing, that is outperformed by my 12 year old pc that back then cost only 1000 t

Hey guys.The prices of 5000 AMD series are decreasing, and since I have recently build a AM4 platform with 32gb of ram (which is enough for me) I am considering upgrading from my Ryzen 5600X to an 5900X -- it has double the cores and threads, jumping from 6 / 12 to 12 / 24, if compared to 5600X, my actual processor.My idea is to give my machine some additional lifetime, since I have no intention of changing the whole platform to a AM5.Does it worth the upgrade, in your sincerely opinion?Thank you so much for your attention. 

Hi everyone,I'm new here, so it's nice to meet you all! 😉 I'm posting because I'm looking for advice regarding very slow rendering and overall poor performance in Adobe Premiere and After Effects on my workstation. I bought this setup expecting that a dual-CPU configuration with Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors would be more than sufficient for smooth video editing, without long wait times for rendering. Unfortunately, rendering is extremely slow compared to, for example, an i9-14900K setup (13 minutes for a sample project), while my HP Z840 workstation takes a staggering 1 hour and 45 minutes for the same project — which is a colossal difference. This Xeon setup has many cores, along with 64 GB of ECC RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro M4000 GPU.However, during rendering, CPU and GPU usage stays around 5–10%, which is shockingly low. I don’t understand why this is happening. Can anyone help me identify the issue and suggest what I can do to make my machine run more efficiently?

We're purchasing a dedicated Windows computer to run Premiere Pro (and other Adobe Suite software).  What would be the optimum specs for a computer to run the software smoothly, balancing cost and functionality?   We generate short (5-10 minute) instructional videos incorporating a lot of animation and effects.  

Hello, I'm having a lot of difficulty rendering with high resolution, that is, 8000px, in demension. I asked Adobe support for a lot of help, but I couldn't solve the problem. I also installed other versions of Demension to see if it could be from the update, but I couldn't solve the problem either. Today I made changes to nvidia (adobe support link) and I still can't render. I'm out of options, I've been unable to render high resolution images for two days and I can't find any solutions. Is there anyone going through the same thing?
