Currently, I am working with an HP Probook 435, but I’ve realized it’s no longer capable of handling both my video editing and blogging tasks efficiently. Given my workload, it’s crucial for me to upgrade to a high-end system. Hello everyone,I have been trying to piece together a new setup for 3D modeling and rendering but I am  way out of my depth. After hours of reading, I am  still not confident I am  picking the right parts.Main goals: fast renders,stable multitasking. I have a laptop with an iGPU and a RTX4070.When using premiere pro, I notice that until about 30% of export, the RTX4070 is used. After that, premiere pro makes it switch to the iGPU.I have tried following steps:- Using windows settings, setting the preferred GPU to the RTX4070- Using Nvidia control panel to put premiere pro under the RTX4070- Going into BIOS and tell my system to use the RTX4070 GPU only Are there other steps I can do to make it actually really use the RTX4070?Or did I really spent this much money on a laptop, in order to have an old brick when it comes to premiere pro?If so, it is time to say goodbye to Adobe for video editing, as the least they could do is put a MASSIVE disclaimer when looking at the website of premiere pro when checking GPU compatibility to check whether a future expense is a good one. I did not just spent almost €2000 to have a brick when it comes to video editing, that is outperformed by my 12 year old pc that back then cost only 1000 t

Hey guys.The prices of 5000 AMD series are decreasing, and since I have recently build a AM4 platform with 32gb of ram (which is enough for me) I am considering upgrading from my Ryzen 5600X to an 5900X -- it has double the cores and threads, jumping from 6 / 12 to 12 / 24, if compared to 5600X, my actual processor.My idea is to give my machine some additional lifetime, since I have no intention of changing the whole platform to a AM5.Does it worth the upgrade, in your sincerely opinion?Thank you so much for your attention. 

Hi everyone,I'm new here, so it's nice to meet you all! 😉 I'm posting because I'm looking for advice regarding very slow rendering and overall poor performance in Adobe Premiere and After Effects on my workstation. I bought this setup expecting that a dual-CPU configuration with Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors would be more than sufficient for smooth video editing, without long wait times for rendering. Unfortunately, rendering is extremely slow compared to, for example, an i9-14900K setup (13 minutes for a sample project), while my HP Z840 workstation takes a staggering 1 hour and 45 minutes for the same project — which is a colossal difference. This Xeon setup has many cores, along with 64 GB of ECC RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro M4000 GPU.However, during rendering, CPU and GPU usage stays around 5–10%, which is shockingly low. I don’t understand why this is happening. Can anyone help me identify the issue and suggest what I can do to make my machine run more efficiently?

We're purchasing a dedicated Windows computer to run Premiere Pro (and other Adobe Suite software).  What would be the optimum specs for a computer to run the software smoothly, balancing cost and functionality?   We generate short (5-10 minute) instructional videos incorporating a lot of animation and effects.  

Hello, I'm having a lot of difficulty rendering with high resolution, that is, 8000px, in demension. I asked Adobe support for a lot of help, but I couldn't solve the problem. I also installed other versions of Demension to see if it could be from the update, but I couldn't solve the problem either. Today I made changes to nvidia (adobe support link) and I still can't render. I'm out of options, I've been unable to render high resolution images for two days and I can't find any solutions. Is there anyone going through the same thing? Tips for top laptops for After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop. Mobile Workstations or Gamer?

Hello Everyone? I'm having trouble in deciding which of theese three laptops (That I can afford) would fit better with Adobe Premiere's requirements. The three have 16GB RAM (I'll expand it to 32 later) 1st: Ryzen 7 5700 U (8 core) with no external video card (I think it has VEGA)2nd: Ryzen 5 5600H (6 core) +  GTX 16503rd: Intel i5 11260H (6 core) + RTX3060 The three have almost the same price. What would you choose according to premiere pro's needs?

I know it is early days on this one, but having waited 4 years to upgrade my GPU to a 4080 Super, it  is now sitting on my desk waiting to be used with Premeier Pro, along with a host of other Video related Apps. Has anyone (yet ?) tried the gaming driver 551.31 as an interim driver ?.It is the only one available as Studio Version driver not released, not even a Beta I know that the drivers are eventaully identical, but it is the testing /certification process taking longer on Studio version. I raised a ticket with NVidia on this but no timescale on Studio driver release yet Any feedback welcomed on using gaming driver. Can anyone confirm that Adobe applications that feature I.A. Do require local processing (CPU/NPU)? (and not only GPU). I'm looking forward to understanding what is the impact of using NPU based Processor.Is there any benchmark database or even a benchmark that I could run in both platforms to help me to understand these possible gains?Besides Generative AI, are there other use cases where workloads have shifted from execution on the CPU to execution on the NPU (even partially)? Any examples of application optimization independent of Generative AI?

After days of research and asking many forums, I am still just confused as confused as ever with which Mac Studio to buy as a video editor. At this point, I feel like it makes sense to either buy the M4 max studio with 64gb of ram or the M3 ultra base with 96 gb of ram. I ruled out the max with 128gb because at that price point it’s just to close to the m3 ultra. A little about my workflow. I edit in premiere with black magic raw footage mainly 5:1 and 8:1. I do use multiple video layers in my edits, color grade pretty heavy, and add medium effects (warp stabilizer and 1 to 2 other effects sometimes). I prefer not to work in proxies. I only care about smooth playback and scrubbing without stuttering or dropping frames, i could care less about export time. I am cheap but don’t want to regret under or over paying. Yet if it actually does make a difference to my workflow then I will happily sell the shirt off my back for the 256 gb of ram. I figure the only way to truly know the differenc

Hi Any advice please on which will be the best performing for my AE workflow. I spend most of my time on a job animating, tweaking, RAM previewing, tweaking, RAM previewing, tweaking etc. Some jobs are light, others can be heavy with many 2D layers, large 3D bitmap layers, cameras and effects. I mostly still work at 1080p 25fps. The machine needs to be future proof and last for many years. I'm considering either a Mac Studio M3 Ultra 28/60 96GB RAM or an M4 Max 16/40 with 128GB RAM. My first priority is a machine that builds RAM previews the fastest (afaik a multi core task), second priority is a reponsive UI (single core task). So I'm confused as I know the M4 Max is faster on single core tasks and the Ultra is faster on multi core tasks - but in the tests I've seen, the multi core on the M3 Ultra isn't hugely faster than the M4 Max. But maybe someone can offer some insight that I've not gained yet.  Thanks.

Anyone have experience with AMD Vs Intel?  My last PC that I built I went with a threadripper 2950X and was dissapointed even though every benchmark said it was supposed to slay Adobe workflow.  Now, as of March 2025, Every metric that I see says the Ryzen 9950x is the best under $1K.  But I'm kinda thinking about going with Intel because they've just worked better in the past.  Times change and I'm willing to listen and learn.For reference, I mostly use Premiere and media encoder 98% of the time.  My concerns are #1, workflow usability (time line scrubbing etc...) and #2, render time.  Thank you.

Hi all,I've purchased a Mac Mini M4 Pro and am looking to buy an ultrawide monitor so I can now edit using one large screen (vs. the two I now use- 27" iMac and 27" Dell). I've heard lots of chatter about ultrawide monitors not playing nicely with Premiere.   Has anyone experienced this? Are there any monitor recommendations? Hi im trying to decide between the 4070 ti vs radeon 7900 xtx for Premieor pro/ after effects.I use 4k h.265 sony files.I currently use a 2070s im hoping this will be a big jump in performenace? I know everyone says CPU is matters moslty but im hoping through updates adobe has been taking advtange of the GPU more. I have noticed that when I "Render in to out" in PP i can somtimes see 100% gpu useage.

Have any of you more techy/PC builders compared your own experience between the i9 14900K and the Ultra9 285K.  I'm fixing to build and I know that Premiere likes high clock speeds historically.  But I don't know if the NPU's and other more modern tech is actually benefitting Premiere.  For reference I'm considering both timeline use and rendering speed.  But I have a sore spot for timeline use (scrubbing and seeing live views decently).  TIA
