I recently acquired a PNY GeForce GT 730 (384 CUDA cores) with 1GB of GDDR5 memory to test out on my main i7-4790K PC. This GPU will ultimately go into my old i5-2400 PC that I am going to resell to someone else.I went through my usual PPBM6/8 test suite for Premiere Pro CC 2014, with the CPU reverted to default clocks. Hello friends, I use a second hand computer, I've just installed the Adobe Suite (almost all of it) and started to use Illustrator. So far I don't know if this PC has any hardware issue inside, and my questions are: if this PC had any hardware problem (a physical issue), how could I notice this as I'm using Illustrator o Photoshop? How could this affect the softwares or the files I'm working on? I don't want my files to get messed up as I'm working or about to finish working on them. I don't know if a technician might know this specific topic

So I'm on the road and need to do some editing. I'm finding my laptop is getting very glitchy in playback, so I'm suspecting my storage isn't optimised. Can anyone give some advice on how best to set up my system?I have a 256GB internal SSD running on a sata3 connection running my OS.I have a 256GB external USB 3.0 SSD.I have a 4TB USB 3.0 (that's nearly full) HDD.I've found many people (including Harm's list here: Generic Guideline for Disk Setup​ ) but none seem to allow for my situation of internal and external SSD's.Any help is greatly appreciated.

dear users, i plan to upgrade my computer and set ssd with OS. itis recommended to use different drive for photoshop's swap file. if i divide one hard drive into two logical disks and install OS on one, and set swap file on the second, will it be efficient for the photoshop?

Anyone know which video card supports 4K GPU render/live 4K timeline playback?I had an iMac 5K (Late 2015) AMD Radeon M390X 2GB with FCPX 4K timeline playback and render was fast and smooth but Adobe Premier Pro CC 2017 even though it said GPU render was stuttering pretty bad. Tried Metal, Open CL it was slow. Wondering if FirePro is better for 4K in Adobe PP CC 2017?

Whattup guys? this is my first time in adobe forum,I will explain you guys my workflow and see if you guys can help me:I took the same project of video (2min and 40s) that I was doing that contained 4k and 1080p120fps from de sony a6300, LUTs adjusment layer, effects like zoom, glitch, slow mo and speed up.this is my old editing workhorse:core i7 2600, gtx 680, 8gb ram ddr3, ssd.the video playback on full quality wanst bad, about 1000 dropped framesrender time was about 15-16minutes with CUDA acceleration, (CPU would be around 80-100% load, GPU around 4-8%load)So I builded a new pc, exclusevely for editing in premiere and after effects:new workhorse v1.0:xeon e5 2695v3 (14 cores, 2.3ghz); gtx680 ( ordered a new gpu but havent yet arrived), 16gb ram ddr4; ssd for editing.So, the playback was totally awesome, was surprised by how much it got better:playback at full res dropped only 353frames, much smoother, if I paused and went back it wouldn´t drop frames for that section again.but what

I'm editing only 1080p footage and exporting to 1080p. I'm buying new PC and I'm deciding between i7 7700k or r7 1700X. Witch one would be better?

Is anyone here using a thunderbolt disk array with a stationary PC workstation? I'm building a Premiere/AE machine and there seem to be no first hand testimonials that you can actually reliably run a Thunderbolt3 RAID array (like Pegasus R6 or Caldigit T4) with a Windows 10 stationary PC in a pro editing/vfx environment. I plan to stick to the X99 range and from what I heard only the Gigabyte Designare motherboard has a physical onboard TB3 socket. The Asus Thunderbolt EX3 addon card is very flaky (B&W client opinions).  Any links/tips/gossip would be highly appreciated.

My old computer is dying. I need to upgrade to Windows 7 or newer. My original Illustrator software is version 7 for PC. I have hard copy upgrades to CS5. No cloud versions. Will these versions load to windows 7 and then upgrade to 10. OR load to 10? Also have Photoshop CS5 and InDesign. All noncloud versions. Any recommendations on new computer that will run the old versions of these programs. Looking at a Dell.Thanks

Hi,I have tried to find some helpful information about this topic by myself, but there's so much to find that I kind of got lost in all this information.So here's the case: I like Illustrating things in Adobe Illustrator and apply a finishing touch in Adobe Photoshop. I also like photography and from time to time I use Lightroom to edit some RAW images, but Illustrator is the program I use the most. By far.This works nicely, but I have a few problems. First, when I have placed a lot of brush strokes in Adobe Illustrator in a single layer, it tends to get slow. The more brush strokes, the slower it gets. This is especially a problem when illustrating hair, for example. The zooming gets slower as well. As soon as I start editing in another layer it's fine again. Also, when editing big files in Photoshop it tends to get slower.So I want to optimize my Illustrator experience. Looking for recommendations from people who do a lot of video editing.I'm starting a communications program where I will be doing a lot of video and photo editing. I just want a laptop that can run Adobe Premiere Pro smoothly.It seems like the GPU card recommendations on the system requirements website might be outdated, because I can't seem to find many laptops that match up with those listed GPU cards.Initially I was looking into buying an Asus Zenbook Pro UX501 (mostly because the $1500 is pretty affordable), but read that the incompatible GPU card was a problem. Now I am thinking of increasing my budget, and wondering if its worth it to just fork over the money for a new Macbook Pro because its easier than sifting through the internet for an adequate PC.

I have Nvidia GTX970 GPU card, which I use for Premiere's Mercury Playback Engine. It runs pretty smoothly.But I am recently having some problems with display. Monitor just starts fluctuating every now and then.I will be giving the card for warranty as soon as my current project is done. But till then, I don't want my customers to get disturbed because of this Fluctuation problem.So what I want to know is, if I connect my monitor to the on-board Intel Graphics, would I still be able to use Nvidia's CUDA for Mercury Playback Engine?

I have a problem when I'm using the Lumetri plugin, it crashes when rendering the project, (I have noticed that a lot of people have problems with this plugin). I've tried uninstalling/installing Premiere Pro, degradering and updating the Graphics driver. Then I checked the system-requirements page:https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html And sure enough, my graphics-card isn't on the list, will Adobe update Premiere Pro to support this card? I just put together a new machine: Gigabyte GA-X99 Ultra Gaming mobo, i7 6800k, 32 GB RAM, and GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card. Hard drive configuration:1.) Samsung 950 Pro U.2 Drive: OS, Premiere CS6 and CC , 2) 1TB PNY SSD: Cache, Previews, and Preview Scratch Disks , 3) 1TB PNY SSD: Captured Video/Audio and Scratch Disks. I am editing GH4 4k .MOV files and am having a problem when I hit the "Toggle Track Output" and toggle between layers of 4k. It starts to drop frames like crazy, even if played at 1/8 the resolution. This only happens when I hit the toggle button (eyeball icon), and not if I am just playing numerous layers of 4k footage. This happens with both CS6 and CC even with current updates. Hello all. I am looking at upgrading a workstation at work. It is a 2010 Mac Pro. I am really leaning towards PC just for a few reasons. My CPU/GPU usage is very low due to a bad setup of HHD/SSDs. Has anybody an idea if an USB-C Port can handle effectivly several drives at once over a dockinstation. I'm a Laptop editor so I always have to struggle with few a small internal drives and few ports. Thanks in advance!
