I've been going bonkers over the smallest things for the past few weeks...and I think it has a lot to do with the news reports and newspapers. Students in Hong Kong about to get machine gunned to death, people in Iran burning things due to gas prices, South American countries going nuts. Mexican army getting shot up by Cartel so they release a bad person in custody, Homeless people by the thousands in the cities (with winter coming ), U.K. unable to leave EU ( like the roach motel, you can get in but you can't get out). Bloomberg who bought his way into a 3rd term as mayor of NY now a democrat looking to buy D.C. and be president for LIFE ( after buying congress and judicial system )... this list is endless..... Even a nice bird that landed on my window sill this morning got yelled at cause he didn't fly to the seeds in his bird feeder instead. I noticed a lot of people stepped in and answered lots of questions that had been ZERO replies...so that's good. As for the rest
Truly intriguing this human interaction thing. I've been quite comfortable with telling quite a few users over the last few years that for what they need, different software is the better choice ... including Resolve. As I say repeatedly, these things are just tools. Fancy hammers. You like Resolve a lot, as do many friends and acquaintances. Great. Work away. And let the Adobe development team know why you're working with Resolve rather than Premiere while you're at it. The UserVoice system goes right to the engineering team and in collated form to the managers who decide budgets. I'd love your to tell them why you prefer Resolve, all the things it does better. Let them know what you don't like about Premiere. More info, more data, more better. BlackMagic has been putting a ton of work into Resolve, and has brought that app's capabilities outside of color a long way in a hurry. Competition being the best thing for the users ... that's good. Let the Premiere folks know wh
I wonder what smart people have used to clean the chips of their cameras. I ordered some stuff and hope I made the right choice. How annoying. You wanna hear something funny about this forum ( for me ?? ) a) I use Edge with cookies off, and I can't post messages in the forum. No clue why not. b) I got a notice the other day from adobe when I went to log in, which said, " For security purposes we need to to change your password." Trouble is, I was using a password that was the same as my email account with google. So when I went to change my password the google password would no longer work. I couldn't log into my own email. Luckily I got it back via some private secret questions and answers, and changed stuff but it was very weird... Took about 20 minutes to fix it.. Does anyone notice there are a lot of questions with like ZERO replies ??? Is that because the questions are too stupid to bother with ??
Salvo, If you like the layout of the Resolve UI, you're most welcome to it. I know some other folks I work with who do really like it. Which is fine, different strokes & all. I've been around a ton of discussions between folks who like the UI of Resolve, Avid, AfterEffects, Mistika, Baselight, whatever ... and don't like some of other UIs. We all like things a bit differently. However ... I detest the Resolve layout. It annoys me no end, and there is almost no ability for the user to change things. I've worked within what Resolve Studio allows, tried every control there for modding the UI. And of course up until around now you've not been able to do a full-screen "monitor out" unless you had additional BM hardware in your machine. Which I don't. So I've been limited to at most a quarter-screen program monitor up until now. No, that was not usable. And only two screens max. Of course, Resolve also throttles WAY back what you can do with a Tangent Elements contro
if you wanna get serious about what's called 'real estate' ( monitors to see all the UI stuff ) and not deal with moving stupid panels around just to work, bet a new NLE like resolve with 2 ( TWO ! ) CALIBRATED monitors, AND another hero video monitor ( 3 in total with proper color in 3rd ). Otherwise it's kid stuff ... and you just have to keep moving your stupid panels around so you can see what you are doing... duh...
This is so ridiculous. Your sofware has become so bad, it feels more like the day after the premiere. You need to be rebuild it from the ground up instead of asking people to jump through all these hoops to have your software work.I've been a long time user, but over the past few years, performance kept getting worse. In fact, I accepted it as normal behaviour and even questioned my 2018 MacBook Pro.After dealing with a lot of frustration during an edit last week, I made a drastic switch to DaVinci Resolve, which I had heard people talk about before, but I never used the software myself.Within ten minutes I was up and runningl; blown away by it's performance. The speed of the interface is amazing, there's no need to work with proxy files anymore, and playback (even with heavy grading applied), is instant and smooth. It feels like my Mac just got a serious upgrade.I'm a big fan of Adobe CC, and for now will continue to use it's other software. But untill Premiere gets a full refresh, I
Hello Every one.I have some video's to upload to Youtube. I need to find Royalty Free music clips, such as Classical or Relaxing Music.Any help please.Thanks.Simon.
buy Decklink's Resolve. It works better, more predictable. Adobe is a thing of the past
Hey, look a poorly implemented Adobe process. Shocker. All I said was that Adobe will continue to apply the methodology that the customer is always wrong; they are computer illiterate. It must be them who broke the software and they should be shamed. Then I plugged Black Magic Resolve, which continues to improve and grow in capabilities and is now much more stable than Adobe products.
I was at a Target store the other day, and I saw my very first box of Yodels. Boy oh boy did it bring back some memories. Do you remember the video contest we had here in the Video Lounge back in 2004? I believe that the rules were a maximum duration of one minute and a maximum file size of 10MB. Yes, you young folks, that is not a typo. It had to be 10MB or less. Our videos were posted at about the size of a postage stamp. 320X240 was the generally accepted dimensions. I still have copies of all of them that I downloaded before the WrigleyVideo site went down. Remember that someone accidentally spelled Yodels wrong as "Yoodels" and many of the contest entries took that as their topic. Especially Chris Rulon. Well, here is a reminder, because you see, Yodels are still the perfect editing food. There is enough sugar in these things to keep you awake through the night. 🙂Hey! Remember when it took all night to render a one minute video? I don't hang
TONS OF GLITCHES, including the old goodies like Premiere continuing to run after being closed and unusable program monitor after switching to color window. I have to go back to 13.5 as Im AGAIN unable to work thanks to Adobe releasing ANOTHER broken update. This is so unprofessional Im suprised they still get business.
CINESTUDY (formerly Framelines) presents an Interactive Editing Project! Anyone can download the 4K clips and edit the scene together however you want. We need YOU to be our editor on this mini-Horror Movie!https://cinestudy.org/2019/09/24/interactive-project-horror-movie/
Something that I wish Adobe would do, would be to do a videography plan, like they do the Photography plan, but would include Premiere Pro and After Effects instead. This would be a more viable option and would cut the cost for videographers having to buy all the apps.Adobe? Would you consider this?Thank you
Don't worry, Adobe will apply their standard, it's you not me, resolution. Have you tried buying all new gear and trashing this system? Oh, you did? Well, you didn't buy the right gear, obvi. Oh it's top of the line, well, did last night we updated it, maybe the the issues you had last month were because you were using an out-of date version from last night's update.
Black Magic Resolve has recently updated their capabilities and it's as powerful and FAR MORE stable than Premiere "Pro"
I typed in subject and got drop down list and no window to type mssg in.. then used back arrow on browser and got this window to type mssg into... is that like messed up or what ?? Anyway....here's a question sure to fall on deaf ears....what do you do for your bmpcc so you can actually SHOOT the stupid thing using batteries ???? I just used 4 batteries one after the other ( charged last week ) and each one shut the camera down after 2 seconds of recording...Not fun. I am sending this message out into the unviverse like a message in a bottle... with the very slight hope someone somewhere will get the message and give me some kind of response... like, what do you use to shoot more than 2 seconds with your bmpcc ??thanks ( I might be dead by the time you respond, and it's nothin personal... like I ignored you .... I'm just dead)
A post to suggest one method of improving auto ducking.https://community.adobe.com/t5/Audition/Perhaps-this-may-help-somone-to-improve-their-audio-ducking/m-p/10668718#M19059
Just wishing to ask why Premier Pro has been updated six times in less than 18 months? It seems that the PPro team have not got their act together, every fix seems to require a fix. So many folks are going over to Blackmagic's Resolve due to Premiere's stability issues. Resolve is rock solid, Adobe's Premiere has a lot of work to do to catch up with editing in 2019 and beyond. Thanks Adobe! Worked all day on a video, only to have the render lock my computer up..When I tried to recover all the good work I had done, All that was available was the last save from three days ago. Not a trace that any work had been done today. Auto Save was set at 15 min intervals. I was working for at least three hours. What was in the auto-save folder you ask?Not a damn thing. Awesome. I guess coding the software to be bullet proof is just too much to ask from one version to the next. It seems Adobe PP got a huge boost in popularity when Apple ruined Final Cut. Adobe is ruining PP by not addressing age old issues, and releasing versions before they are ready. Please, dear lord of consistency, create a company in your image. Create a company that will put robust, quality software out there. Software that doesn't suffer from the same issues Microsoft Word had back in 1986.I beg of you. In exchange, I will no longer be impure on any level. Please Save Us All.
Likewise... Seriously, Adobe, WTH? This is basic stuff. Stop adding more bugs and features and fix all the stuff that's currently broken, because that list is getting really long..
Is there any way to opt out of the new forum UI? Its impossible to browse and seeems to be designed to obfucate sub forums.
We are in 2019 and It's a shame that we still don't have a Feature called "Background Rendering"we need to get an additional Media Encoder to be able to do that which is a House of Bugs and almost as big as the Premiere itself.

My fingers are hitting the table one after another, repeatedly. Have 5 gigs shot on the 705 now and refuse to buy Resolve just to have “access” to my footage.
I used to be able to go to my image in the upper right corner of the forum window and, if I was logged in, I could pull down a page that showed all the threads I've participated in. This is helpful if I've forgotten an answer I've gotten before. It seems to have gone away. How do I access my past threads? Thanks,Martin
