1.) Create an image with the background you want to use.
2.) Then place the White text using the text tool so that your characters read correctly.
3.) Then make a blank layer using the add layer button on the bottom of the layers pallet.
4.) Choose the yellow you would like to use and set that as the foreground color. Choose a red, as the background color.
5.) Add a foreground to background gradient using the gradient tool in the blank layer. Click to begin at the top of the text and end at the bottom. Holding down the shift ket to keep the gradient straight.
6.) Then hold down the command key and click the text layer, which creates a selection of your text.
7.) Go to the menu Select/Modify/ Contract and contract the selection enough for the white edge to show, then click the Add Layer Mask button at the bottom of the layers pallet to reveal the white text as an outline.
8.) Select the gradient layer and click the Layer Effects button at the bottom of the layers pallet. Choose Drop Shadow and adjust the drop shadow to look like the one in your reference photo.
