Hi,I am using Acrobat Adobe XI. I have been successful at utilizing electronic signatures to lock down certain fields on a document/form. I am now trying to see what else I can program/script this field to execute when it is signed.The problem:My company has two different inspectors filling out the same inspection  forms when it comes to inspection time. Each inspector needs to sign the document. Inspector 1 will do various routine inspections. Then, Inspector 2 will do whatever is left on the inspection form. Basically, they are always switching up what they inspect between one another so there is no way for me to associate specific fields to specific electronic signatures. When Inspector 1 is done they will electronically sign the document, then send it along to Inspector 2 who will also electronically sign the document when completed. Is there a way to write a script within the electronic signature to automatically lock any fields that have been signed in and not lock the ones

I can't figure out how to add polylines to pdf files in the newest version of Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. How do you do it?

Hi,I'm executing some code using the JavaScript Debugger in Acrobat. I'm exporting the output of that code using exportDataObject. The issue that I'm having is that I would like to save the data automatically without a dialog window popping up asking the user for the save location. I attempted to using the cDIPath parameter of the exportDataObject function, however, I realized that the use of this parameter is no longer allowed. I wanted to know if there is an alternative way to remove the dialog or is it simply no longer allowed.

Hi! Is it possible to use SetPreferenceEx to change Convert From PDF settings?I am using Acrobat XI Pro from VBA to convert a large number of PDFs to Word documents. In order to do this I need to programmatically change "Convert From PDF" settings, in particular disable the OCR.Is SetPreferenceEx the right function for that? Where can I find a list of all preferences that can be set by SetPreferenceEx?Thanks for any help.

Hi,I have some PDFs with Japanese texts. Mostly the texts are in either MS-Mincho or MS-Gothic font. Mostly the fonts are in TrueType (CID) type and Identity-H encoding. I have no problem on copying Japanese texts from Acrobat and pasting them in Notepad. This must be a proof of a proper ToUnicode map in the PDF.However, when I print the PDF into "Adobe PDF" printer driver, the copy & paste no longer works in the PDF output file. Now the Japanese texts are pasted as missing glyph character (a quotation mark in a square) in Notepad. I guess this means ToUnicode map was not created, most probably during the distillation process.On the other hand, I have a PDF with Japanese texts whose font is "MSゴシック" or "MS明朝" (these means MS-Gothic and MS-Mincho, respectively), and more importantly, they are in 90ms-RKSJ-H encoding. I can copy and paste Japanese texts from the "Adobe PDF" printed output of this PDF. One thing weird is, the 90ms-RKSJ-H encoding is now changed in Identity-H in the ou

I would like to create a field on a form for a PO number which would increment by 1 each time the form it opened.  Example - the starting number would be 17001 and and stored in the form then next time the form is opened it would increment to 17002 and stored.

I am not educated at all in javascript so I need the expertise of someone here to help me please!!!I came across this page on the old Adobe Forum pages - https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/popup-menus-part-i .  This sort of popup menu is exactly what I need.  But I need it to work so that when someone clicks on the choice it either opens a Word document or a webpage.  The Word doc would ideally be an attachment to the PDF.  But if that isn't possible then it could be located in the same folder as the PDF.  The code for the popup menu only works on PDF's saved in the same folder.  How do I make it work for Word doc's and URL's?The above link says:This menu is designed to open PDF documents within a common folder. I am working with a radio button called Amortization. When the user selects this radio button they must select the radio button Actual  and corresponding ACT_Actual sub form is displayed. Hi,So have the following code in the javascript of an action wizard.  I was just notified that a user is still getting this error even though they only have the one pdf open from which they initiate the action wizard.  It should not give them this error but it is.  Can someone tell me why that would be?  Note I already verified they only have this one pdf open. var d = app.activeDocs; if (d.length > 1){app.alert("This application will not run unless ONLY the 1st pdf file in the batch labeling sequence is open.   Please close all additional pdf's and re-execute the Batch Labeling Application from the Action Wizard.");event.rc  = false;}They are using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

I have some knowledge in javascript, but i don´t know if there is some difference in Flash´s javascript, like Unity 3D, it´s a little bit different.Do you have some script examples that i can use as a guide for me?Some basic questions:. I created a form which is an agreement and shows the totals of commissions.  I have everything working but when I try and do an auto populate for a field where the entry is TEXT it doesn't allow it.  I want ALL Fields which would show the TEXT to be auto populated when the initial field is entered. When using AxInterop.AcroPDFLib in .net application, sometimes the viewer is not loaded.We see a gray screen instead. On a second attempt it works fine.Anyone have seen a similar issue anywhere ?Are there any logs that this DLL is creating?Thank you

I am going round in endless circles trying to find the "official" statement about what has happened to Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.One minute it is working, then one day I get a message saying I must reactivate. I follow the provided instructions, but the online reactivation doesn't work. The phone number provided doesn't work.I end up on a very unconvincing service desk call with someone on Skype. He even asks me for my Adobe password at one point. Pretty poor.So having bought this software and used it happily for a few years, Adobe have the right to take it away from me? Surely that is not right.If for some reason the product has had to be replaced, I am happy to pay a modest upgrade fee, but it is really hard to find out what the replacement product is, and how much it costs.One of the help desk calls wanted to charge me $375 per annum!!!!!!

Hi, as i understand there is a function in Acrobat that allows the user to reduce file size of the PDF document by reducing the Adobe versions the document is compatible with. can i check if there are any sdk, api or licenses available to allow us to incorporate this function into a self-written program?Thanks in advance

I tried modifying the Dynamic file and adding my own dynamic stamp, but now there are absolutely no Dynamic stamps available in the Stamps menu.  I was following a tutorial I found on the web.  How do I at least get my regular Dynamic Stamps back?  There is a Dynamic file in the ENU folder, but it's as if Acrobat doesn't access it.Thanks!

Ik heb volgend probleem. ik krijg van mijn klant pdf-bestand met embedded lettertypes (SegoeUI TrueType CID Identity-H). Als ik de pdf omzet naar ps en daarna terug naar pdf omzet met de standaard adobe programma's, dan zijn op sommige pagina's van de pdf de tekst met dit lettertype onleesbaar geworden. (idem als ik de originele pdf print naar pdf) De originele pdf va de klant is aangemaakt met iTextSharp 4.1.6 by 1T3XT pdf-version 1.4(Acrobat 5.x). Heeft iemand hier een uitleg voor ?

Hi, does anyone know if its possible to write a script to put in the Format > Custom > Customer Format Script section of a Text Field so that only hyperlinks (URL) can be entered?  So, after the link is entered, I can just click on it and bring me to the web page?Thanks!

Is there a way that I could make the month all lower case once the date has been validated? I've tried event.value = event.value.toLowerCase() in the action tab once the field is deactivated and what not...  It may not seem like much but it's a flagrant spelling error in French. Thank you if someone can help.
