I have successfully set up a page with a document loading into the Adobe embed API on a Joomla website I am trying to replicate this page with a different document but the result isit shows 'opening document' and buffering 0% and then fails to load. Any ideas? I have tested the page with a link to the pdf which works perfectly but just loads the pdf into a new window Do the web-based credentials only allow one PDF per site now?
Hey Community, I am reviewing the Adobe Sign api, and can not find a specific end point for what I want to accomplish. I am using a form tool specifically to gather user data, when they complete the form from the tool I am using, I want to make an api call specifically to apply a signture of the user that filled out the form to my pdf through the API and I was wondering how to do that? Anything helps, if you have python examples of this even better!Thank you!
When detecting that the currently opened file has changes using the STATUS_API and returing the `AdobeDC.View.Enum.ApiResponseCode.FILE_MODIFIED` response, the user is presented with a popup asking if they'd like to "Get Latest Version", in my current test environment the button reloads the current page, as if `window.reload()` has been called. In cases where the document has been loaded using the File Location eg: `content: { location: { url: '...'}}` object, is it possible to make that button re-request the file defined in the config, rather than reloading the window?
Hi I am currently facing an issue where we have built a view that uses the PDF Embed API.Next to the view, we have located some user fields like "filename, date, notes, ..."Bellow these fields is a "save" button, to save the data. The issue:- I can't seem to find a way to detect if the PDF has unsaved changes. Because now when the user clicks our "save" button, he loses his PDF changes. What have we tried:- Annotation listener. This works for "marking", "drawing", ... but NOT for "text fields", "radio buttons", ... I understand why, as these are not "annotations.- I have tried to always show the save button but without changes, it is greyed out, so I still can't force the user to first update his document. What I would like (if order of preference):Option 1: To be able to trigger the save programmatically. This way, our button can work as the main save button. Option 2: have an event listener that exposes when the adobe save button is showed and enabled. This wa
We had a small release today that adds a new feature to Document Generation's template language - dynamically discarding rows in a horizontal table. Details here: https://developer.adobe.com/document-services/docs/overview/document-generation-api/tablewithmarkers/#discard-the-row-in-a-horizontal-table-if-the-condition-evaluates-to-true
Hello community, I would like to test the Services API Free Trail and started the 6-month free trail but it doesn't work. I get always following failure: What it the problem? I refreshed the browser several times and also tried other browsers... Thanks a lot and best regards Marcel
We create pdf files from a Word template and JSON data. Sometimes (app 5%) we find pdf files where some characters are replaced by a different font, and font size. If we submit the same data several times it will eventually get correct formatted, despite no changes at all in the source data. The affected font in the Word template is Arial Unicode MS 10pt. The font is fully embedded in the Word template.Grateful for help how to get this 100% stable.
Hi,yesterday my PDF Embed API stopped working properly for no reason.If I load it more than once in the same page, without refreshing, it gives me the error 'index.js:44 Uncaught dc-core loaded twice'.I didn't edit anything about it. This is the code:<script src="https://documentservices.adobe.com/view-sdk/viewer.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var pdfurl = <?php echo json_encode($pdfUrl ?? null) ?>; var pdfname = <?php echo json_encode($pdfName ?? null) ?>; document.addEventListener("adobe_dc_view_sdk.ready", function(){ var adobeDCView = new AdobeDC.View({clientId: ".............", divId: "adobe-dc-view"});
I'm in love with Liquid Mode in Adobe Acrobat Reader. I need to do something similar but for a specific use case and with extended capabilities. I'm attempting to do this in python for proof of concept. I have successfully processed a PDF with the incredibly helpful guide provided here. However, now I want to take that JSON output and create a new PDF that displays properly on my phone. I can't seem to find anyway to do this, and I find all the docs incredibly confusing - Document Generation API seems to want a word doc template? I don't want to use a Word Doc to do it, I just want to take the structured data that I have and display it on a smaller page. I thought I might be able to use Linearization, but it seems there's no linearization module included anymore with the SDK, and there's no example for python on that page. Am I correct that there's no API to access Adobe Acrobat Express Liquid Mode? (I've emailed support about this, but haven't heard a peep back.) It seems l
I have followed the code reference (ref: https://www.adobe.io/apis/documentcloud/dcsdk/pdf-services.html) needed for converting a PDF to DOCX, and that works as expected. However the same code also locks the PDF file and I am unable to delete the PDF file during the same function call. I am attaching both the code that I have written as well as the error that I get on trying to delete the PDF file that is opened byFileRef sourceFileRef = FileRef.CreateFromLocalFile(fullFilesPath + pdfFile); I checked for a dispose method for any of the objects that are initiated from the Adobe Services API, but there are none, I have (if you see the screenshot named PDF to word code) also set all objects to null, but that also does nothing. Regardless there should either be a close method to close the PDF file that was opened or a dispose method to do the same. Requesting a quick reply on this.
I've created a PDF using Adobe InDesign and was attempting to extract the text from the PDF using the API. However, I'm getting the following error:Known exception encountered while executing operation ServiceApiError: BAD_PDF - Unable to extract content.: The input file contains font data that is corrupted or not supported Then further down:BAD_PDF_UNSUPPORTED_FONT When I use the Export PDF API to turn the PDF file into a MSWord .docx file, then use Word to print to PDF, and try the Extract PDF API on the modified pdf file, I dont encounter the same problem.Does anyone know of a way to make the Extract API more forgiving? IE Allowing me to get the desired result without jumping through additional hoops? Or why the original PDF has been generated in a way that the Extract API doesnt like the font metadata.

Couple of years back this was not HIPAA compliance. But I see adobe has done some changes in that area, from the below url. Is it HIPAA compliance now, does Adobe sign Business Associate Agreement ? https://www.adobe.com/trust/compliance/hipaa-ready.html
Hello, I am facing an error when generating document using the API Adobe document generation in WORD.I haven't reach the API document limit per month as I start to use it. And you can find the document in the attachment. Thanks in advance for any insights!
I have noticed when i use Full Window Embed Mode That it works if the PDF and HTML is in the same directory Or if I place the HTML in the root directory and place the pdf elsewhere It works perfectly But if I move the HTML to a directory other than root the pdf will not load unless the pdf is in the same directory I have tried using the full location in the API ie HTTP://www.domain etc or relative path ../ none work anyone know how I might overcome this
I'm facing an issue when extracting a pdf. It only has 5 pages in total and it gave me a timeout error as below. ERROR MESSAGE:description =ERROR - Unable to extract content. Internal error: Processing timeout; requestTrackingId=ec3aebd4-c2a8-49dd-a9bd-0a7864a7f2bd; statusCode=500; errorCode=TIMEOUT However, when I split the document into individual pages and hit the API for each page, the extraction works fine. So, I tried increasing the timeout config using the code below, but that does not seem to work. It is still giving me the same error. client_config = ClientConfig.builder().with_connect_timeout(200000).with_read_timeout(600000).build() Does anyone have any idea to resolve this?
Hello, I am trying to follow the tutorial here using the same docx and json file:.NET | Quickstarts | Document Generation API | Adobe PDF Services , but I got the error ServiceApiException {"Error response received for the request: Cannot send a content-body with this verb-type."} Do you have any ideas why the tutorials does not work?
I'm creating an app for my company that uses the Adobe API. I need them to collab on the files using the shareable link. I know that manually if you go to a file on Acrobat Reader you can get the shareable link. But how do I get it from the API?The shareable link looks like this https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/{{Asset ID}} and I do have the Asset ID from the upload process. But If I access that link it saysThis happens even using the same account that I used to upload the file into my Adobe Internal Storage. On a side note, I don't know where this file is being upload, I can retrieve it using the GET Request but it doesn't show up on my Cloud files.
Hi,I'm using the embed API to display pdf in inline mode so the pdf are greatly integrated to the page. But those contains hyperlinks to another web page and when users open them, a new window is open in the browser and I would like to open that in the current tab. Is there a way to either :- chose between target _blank or _self- catch the event and prevent the link to be open to open it myself with Javascript If you want to visit the pages https://www.carenity.co.uk/give-my-opinion/surveys-completed
What is the Base URL and API Domain Name? I've a intesi group certificate. https://<base-url>/<API-domain-name>/csc/v0/oauth2/token
Hi all,I'd like to preface this post by saying I am not a developer, just someone who likes to use tools available to make work asier. I've created multiple Power Automate flows using the Acrobat API connector, and am now getting a lot of emaile about creating new credentials with OAuth2.0 or my flows will break (albeit not until Jan 2025). I've gotten as far as creating the OAuth credential, but not sure how to complete the migration away from the old JWT. When I click on the OAuth Server-to-server credential, I see the following fields that I can then copy and paste into the Adobe PDF Services Power Automate connector: My question is this: What do I put in the Base64 encoded private key? In the JWT credentials, there was an option to generate a public/private access key, that downloaded a zip file containing the private key that I could then paste in there. I've clicked on the OAuth generate access token and entered that into the box,
Is it possible to export to PNG with specific settings like DPI and color? I need to export it in specific DPI and black and white. Similir as it can be done in Adobe Acrobat.I am trying the API to Export images but the quality of the image is not good.Thanks.
Hi everyone, I am able to convert a URL to PDF using the rest API with JWT credentials, but the same operation doesn’t succeed when switching to OAuth credentials. In the latter case, the PDF output (attached) only contains an error message followed by an error code. In both approaches, the same http request is sent. Here is the (python) code for the OAuth approach: # Load credentials PDF_SERVICES_CLIENT_ID = os.getenv('PDF_SERVICES_CLIENT_ID') PDF_SERVICES_CLIENT_SECRET = os.getenv('PDF_SERVICES_CLIENT_SECRET') # Obtain access token url_access_token = "https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/ims/token/v3" headers = {'Content-Type': 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded'} payload = f'grant_type=client_credentials&client_id={PDF_SERVICES_CLIENT_ID}&client_secret={PDF_SERVICES_CLIENT_SECRET}&scope=AdobeID,openid,read_organizations,additional_info.projectedProductContext,additional_info.roles,adobeio_api,read_cli
I am looking for the best options for securing the pdfs online so only the API can call these files and finding a way to prevent the files from being downloaded when viewed I Have Pluging for another site Joomlatools Docman which can secure these files and embed in a pdf viewer but I would prefer to use the Adobe embed API one of their workarounds is to serve the files from Google Drive and link them to this system using the view only option I tried this directly in the API but it does not work. Any anyone have any thoughts on how best to achieve this
