Hi,I got a problem with selection of the renderer. I have an option when choosing between software or CUDA:But I can't change that in composition preset settings:I have a GTX 970, i7 4790K. Has anyone run into the same problem?
Hello!I need help. I'm making proxies for my 4k footage that I imported into Premiere Pro and so it opened up Media Encoder to make the proxies based on my ingest settings. However it kept crashing so I re-imported the footage two times to restart the encoding proxies process (this was not a good idea as I'll explain later). I have stopped doing that. So now I'm in media encoder and it is taking its sweet time making these proxies, but there is 3 of every clip and they appear to be in random order. I have gone through multiple times and deleted the duplicates from the queue, but every time media encoder opens back up the duplicates are there. I just want to set it so it won't make duplicate proxies. Right now it's making two or three by putting "Proxy_1" or "Proxy_2" at the end of the file name. The only setting I found to change was how the duplicate proxies are named, I can't find how to prevent media encoder from making duplicate proxies in
I was doing videos on my sony camera and all of them are in one file avchd WHICH is not possible to open by any program, even adobe encoder. Is it possible it is too big file?
I left the "energy saver" settings on Mac set to sleep after one hour. It paused the queue while outputting a premiere project. It's back exporting now. Is this likely to affect quality on the final output? Thank you
Good evening,Ever since the latest update, as of 22 February 2017, when I queue items from Adobe Premiere Pro to be exported as H.264 .mp4 files via Media Encoder, when I later open up those files, I just get the intended length of the file with a message in a dozen languages saying "Media offline."Did the settings that I need to set change upon update? Or was this software update released before it was fully tested, and it is no good? Please update and/or advise.
Hello everyone,I want to export a 2min long video from after effects. My Media ENcoder works and I can export the video there. In the video I have an Audio spectrum. I have a i5 processor so that might be the reason for the long time, but I'm sure it shouldn't be 6-7 HOURS! Right? Thanks all
Hi,We have a small video company and are subscribed to the whole app bundle with Adobe but Media Encoder is our main application and we use it on a daily basis. Everything worked well until today when it started bugging and we also noticed that on the Creative Cloud menu it got suddenly marked as CC version "incompatible" with our OS 10.9.5. By that I mean the CC version which was 2015.4. I tried uninstalling it with the purpose of reinstalling it, but then it simply disappeared from the CC menu and now only shows it as an "incompatible" install. Like Premiere (which hasn't started bugging yet) and After Effects. This is unacceptable! We don't want to update our OS as we have other software that will only work under 10.9.5.We would like to receive a download copy of the prior, working version of Media Encoder, or else I suppose we will just unsubscribe to Adobe's services. This is very user-unfriendly, and very much a nuisance for a product that was otherwise working well. Thanks, best,Di
from the latest version
Hi. I keep trying to update Media Encoder but it keeps giving me an error 113 message. Says something about not being able to reach the Adobe servers. I can update everything else but not media encoder so it's not my internet connection. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If yes, can anyone advise on how to fix this issue. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. Thank you
Hi,I use tle last premiere pro cc 2018 and media encoder.I updated april 21, 2018 the media encoder and since not responding, not loading the program.I have windows 10.I uninstall and install it but don't work. What happend? What can I do?Thank's, Zsolt
Suddenly presets from previous version in the GOP area of settings will not support high rates. Where we use to have 8 and 128 to produce the best resolution for M and N frames; the new version of ME just hangs about 15 seconds through the render. We can drop the frame setting to 4/128 but that's half of the resolution we need. We have to downgrade to have success at it and keep producing the m2v format we need to deliver.
Hi all,Apologies if this is a repeat, but I have tried searching and can't find anybody with the same issue / not sure of the technical term to search. I am very new to AE and have been working on a project through it. Exported the project quite a few times now and the play back has been fine. However after my last update to it, when exporting some video files are missing and show a colour banding instead. They're not missing in AE and the files have not changed location. So I am not sure what has gone wrong or how to fix it. Any ideas? Damian.
Hello everyone,I'm having trouble with working with proxies in Premiere Pro.I've made a project on my laptop. All files are located on an external harddrive. When I want to open the PP-project on my desktop, I'm getting an error that says AME is not installed. This way I'm unable to use any of the proxies I've made on my laptop. Is there any workaround or solution for this?So far I've tried updating both AME and PP, setting them both back one version, deleting cache. All without result.I've included two screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about.
Hello , it seem that the latest release of Media Encoder CC 2018 ( v 12.1 build 171) are completely missing the Quicktime XDCAM422 codecs .Is there a reason for that or it has simply missed?Thank you
A number of people have been experiencing this problem of AME not publishing after a render even if logged in (thru AME and through an opened browser.)This is the error message. Hardware:Ryzen Threadripper 1950X @ 4.0GHzNvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti @ 1757MHz64GB 3733Mhz RAMIf more specs would help with your input let me know and I can give a more thorough accounting. To clarify, when I open media encoder, the "Renderer: _____" dropdown defaults to Mercury GPU Acceleration (CUDA), so it is showing up. I can manually set that to Software Only. But when I go to create a new preset, or edit the *ENCODING* settings of any existing preset, the dropdown menu for "Performance:" is grayed out and inaccessible. I'm not sure if this stops me from actually recruiting the GPU for encoding. Or if it's just grayed out because it's going to use whatever I pick for rendering anyway. That would be kind of a problem if I want to use GPU for rendering and CPU for encoding, which I've heard affects quality for some codecs. And if my system is not actually using the GPU for rendering then I have a serious problem obviously. There is nothing wrong with the GPU or my drivers. I have the
Yesterday 17 april 2017, I updated AME. (I'm updating often). But today I've found that it deleted some presets, and I had to reinstall again QUICKTIME because that option disappeared from the FORMAT menu.
Hi,I a newbie and asking a question on behalf of my son.We have an Asus PC, I7-6700,, GTX 950 2GB and when I export the file cpu and gpu are utilised (as seen in the windows task manager).I just purchased an Asus Laptop, i7-770HQ, GTX 1060 3GB, cpu utilised but the gpu is not.The pc will process the video in about 6 minutes, the laptop in about 16 minutes. The project renderer shows CUDA on both. The file is being exported in Format H264 and present is High Quality 1080p HD.I've read that gpu is only used on certain effects, but here I'm encoding both files exactly the same,Surely the faster processer and gpu should be faster, and why is the Gpu used on the PC and not the laptop ?If I change the format to AVI gpu works on the laptop.Running windows 10 creators update and the latest Nvidia video drivers and the same Adobe CC version on both.TIA
Hi everyone,Occasionally AME will fail to upload a video after encoding. Is there a way for me to tell the program to re-attempt the upload without encoding the video again? Thanks,Aaron
When I add my sequence to the render queue and start it, the file that Media Encoder outputs makes the footage really slow so it doesnt match the voice. It does this to all my videos. Here's an example.Media Encoder Issue - enduraplas I've checked my settings and frame rates and it all looks fine. its supposed to be a 30 fps video. I've tried different export settings and nothing changes.I also uninstalled and reinstalled media encoder and still the problem exists.Any ideas?
Should it really take 4 hours to encode 50 sec 4K footagewith some lumetri exposure changes and noise reduction effects?Apple ProRes LT 422V 12.0.1 b64
I'm trying to export an 8K composition, and when I put it in Adobe Media Encoder, and click the QuickTime option, there is no MPEG-4 wrapper, which is what I've heard is the best way to export. I could export it uncompressed but the file size would be over 500gb, which would take hours to upload to youtube and would exceed my hdd capacity.I am running Windows 10 by the way, so ProRes is not an option.Do I need to install a codec for exporting 8K? Maybe I'm going about this all wrong, so help would be appreciated. Thanks,
I'm trying to output some content which has to be 5328 x 912 in H.264 format. Reading up on the specs, this kind of resolution only seems possible at Level 6 or above:H.264/MPEG-4 AVC - Wikipedia But Media Encoder doesn't offer anything above 5.2. Am I doing something wrong here?I'm on Windows using CC2018, Media Encoder 12.1 build 171.
I am having issues while trying to encode .avi files in Media Encoder CC2018.It is a XenDesktop environment and I am not sure if the audio card is the culprit.it is just the avi files that are impacted.encoding .mov or .mp4 files has no problems.why is this happening
I tried to wrap up a project I was working on in AE, and I got this error message. So I looked for any updates, that didn't fix it!I cleared browser cache, history, and restarted ... no luck.So I uninstalled the Creative cloud app, didn't work. Then I took everything off the machine and re-installed everything and still no luck. Now I've been trying to get hold of someone, anyone from Adobe tech support, or even chat with someone who might help, and no luck there either!
