Hi,I am encoding proxies of large amounts of files from different cameras in AME. To make sure the on-lining works, I need to fill in the "tape name" meta data, which is empty in some footage (eg MXF). Is there any way to do this in AME for a batch of files? Or a workaround?Thank you very much, L.
So as many other users I can't upload to youtube through premiere or AME anymore. Happened after last update. I used that feature on a daily basis, so I would appreciate if Adobe could at least respond to this issue...Anyone else found a solution yet? I tried everything I can think of..Might just chat with support tomorrow, see what they can come up with
I'm using CS4 with Windows 10. Screen shots (frame grabs, freeze frames) created by Adobe Media Encoder as single frame BMP or tiff files do not show the color correction that I see in Premiere's monitor window. There is color correction, but it is wrong (far more saturated, color balances incorrect.) Is there a solution for this problem? The screen shots are correct in Windows Photo, but not in Windows Photo Viewer. They are also incorrect in Photoshop.
Hey, working on a big project (for me anyways) with tons of files spread across almost 2 dozen bins. Decided to use Media Encoder to convert/uncompress MTS files and import them as ProRes mov files. Having several issues, including out of sync audio, audio cutting out in mid-clip. Not for all clips, but enough to make me trash all the mov files I just converted and go back to import the original MTS files. What is going on? Never had any issues at all until I upgraded to Adobe CC 2018. Thinking you guys dropped the ball on this release. The reason I decided to convert the MTS files in the first place was that on import Adobe Premiere would randomly assign audio to a clip from a whole different set of clips shot on different days and placed in different folders. Again, what in the world is going on? These are major issues that shouldn't be happening at all.
Adobe media encoder is super slow.I've to publish my videos on youtube but it takes many times.I had a video 7minutes which was compressed to 40MB.For this renderring it takes 30minutes.Why it'll take so much times.
Config :CC 2017, OSX 10.10.5, proc
Hello,i think i might have found a weird bug in the current Media Encoder. For jobs i export one Master and the transcode it to 720p and 1080p. Each as a MP4 File as H264 Codec, MOV as DNxHD Codec and WMV as Windows Media 9 Codec. However this always leads to a crash.I've tried all the presets i usally use on their one and it didn't crash. So I've tried both resolutions but both as the same File and Codec and it didn't crash either.Every time it crashes it also happens that Media Encoder crashes right away when i restart it and only a restart of the computer will fix this.So naturally this is very annoying since i cant't just make one long queue in AME but have to add them in pairs of 2 and for every codec separetly. Is there a way to fix this?Any help is appreciated.
lorsque je veux exporter un métrage dans media encoder à partir de After Effects, la liaison ne se fait pas! la composition ne se charge pas dans media encoder. (j'ai installé et désinstallé les deux logiciels plusieurs fois)merci pour votre aideB.
Hi,we are using Aftereffects CC2015.3 and each time we want to upgrade to a new version we make some tests regarding our workflows and custom tools before.Right now we need to install new workstations under windows 7 x64 with the AEP CC2015but in your creative cloud installer there is no access to the adobe media encoder CC2015.and, unfortunately, when I install AEP 2015, the adobe dynamic link doesn't work with the mediaencoder CC2017...here is the error message in after effectsAEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed.( 5027 :: 12 )Can you help methanksMy last discussion was replied as answered by error.
Im trying to export Mp4 files as Mov files so i can use them on Resolume but its just exporting the audio and the video is just black, Im not on a mac but I have quicktime installed
Hi Im trying to render 10.240 W 800 H, near 13 meters in diameter, Lots of blurs and effects in the comp, But the rendering time is like 3 days for a one min of video, anyone know of a better way to render that big?L
[UPDATE 12/13 3:56PST] I've been able to finally export. I restarted the computer, deleted all cache from Common folder in Application Support for Adobe, set Encoder to OpenCL GPU Acceleration, and I was finally able to get a clean export.Hi all! So I'm trying to export in Adobe Media Encoder. It's a 360 video shot on a Samsung Gear 360, and I'm using Mettle Mantra VR plugins. Everytime it gets to the point in the timeline where I'm using Mettle Mantra Mobius Zoom, it quits on the export and marks the status as 'Failed.'The Premiere project setting is using GPU Acceleration. The rendered in Encoder is set to use GPU Acceleration as well.I've tried both Metal and OpenCL (and even Software Only with no GPU for kicks), and it all poops out on me.Any ideas?I'm working on a 2016 Macbook Pro with 16MB RAM.2.5 GHz Intel Core i7AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GBIntel Iris Pro 1536 MBThis is the error message I'm getting in the log:##- Source File: /var/folders/kf/m_k956dj0ksgnpkcmfrm57pr0000gn/T/ElGanzo_
I have one file in particular that is taking so long that something must be wrong. It is one of around 8 files that come from the same source camera and format. All the others created proxies fine, but this clip which is only 30 seconds long has been encoding for 1 hour already and estimates another 32 hours before completion.Something is clearly wrong. The files came from my Phantom 4 pro and are recorded in .MOV file but in order to use them in premiere pro I change the extension to .mp4.I have tried encoding both formats and this one file always acts the same. The formatre I am creating the proxies in is H.264 at a 1080 frame size.Renderer is a Mercury Playback Engine CUDAThanks in advance.
Hey there, i recently created a new After Effects 2018 (Version 15.0.0.) project with 25,00 fps and sent it to Media Encoder 2018 12.0 (Build 202). I then sent this file H264 file to my sound designer, who is working with QBase. When he imports my H264-file, QBase tells him that the framerate is 24,98 fps, not 25,00. I checked the file on my computer with premiere and Quicktime and it says 25,00 fps. So i opened an old Media Encoder 2014 and set the framerate manually to 25,00 fps. If Imported this file into QBase, it works and QBase says 25,00 fps.Compared in QBase, the Media Encoder 2018 is shorter than the Media Encoder 2014 encoded file ... So there is definitely something wrong?!?!We had a lot projects together in the past and this never happened until today ...Can anyone help?BR and thanks in advanceDaniel
I have Adobe Media Encoder CC 2017 on my Mac. I cannot get it to work.Above is a screenshot of the error.I would appreciate information on how to correct this issue.Thank you.
All other files are fine, but when you insert mov, the basic video setting size will change and the video will also be black solid. How can I solve this?
Hi.Can someone please tell me why my Media Encoder doesn't want to open? I keep getting a message telling me it has encountered an 'unexpected error and cannot continue'.How do I fix this?
Hi, I have an unusually long video (8h) which exports into an approx 110 gb file. When I export with AME into an mp4 the procedure freezes when encoding is practically finished (estimated time comes down to 0 and elapsed time freezes too).I read at that stage the process called muxing takes place and it might take some time considering the size of the file. Strangely, however, the processor's capacity is hardly used at that time. Encoding took about 6 hours and I have allowed more than that for muxing (which i cannot monitor) and there seems to be no progress. To make sure I used the option not to export audio (as the movie is silent anyway) but it has not changed anything.I have successfully exported the movie when i set multiplexing to none and i have acquired a m4v file. Unfortunately that file is not playable in any software I have, including VLC, other players give me errror code 0xc00d36c4. The file however is playable when i import it back into the Adobe Premier Pro.Is ther
Hello, I am asking you because I have a problem encoding my HEVC files to Cineform. Until now I used media encoder 2015.3 with 8-bit MPEG-4 / HEVC video files (see capture) for encoded to a CINEFORM format. Since upgrading to Media Encoder CC 2017, I have systematically this error when importing these same video files. Thanks for your help because I can not work with this 2017 version !
Hi, Need some help please.I have been using adobe CS since CS4 and have been upgrading all the way to CS6.The amount of work I do and the value of our money (ZAR) it is not viable for me to go CC.Last month my edit machine's motherboard went and had to put a new machine together. The new machine is a 7820X with Win 10.I have loaded all my programmes and all works well but within Encore on my old machine in the library panel next to the "Toggle display of menu tab" is the "Toggle display of buttons" and so on.on my old system you could click on these tabs and you would have all the menu's and buttons ect, I have loaded the content disc and only have all the menu's.No Buttons, No images, No backgrounds and so on.what have I done wrong and where do I find these files? and how do I get them back? I used to build my own menu's now I cannot. Thanks in advance for your time and effort.Darren
Since upgrading to v12 Media Encoder has become pretty useless. I'm working on the same projects as before, nothing has changed in terms of plugins or hardware I'm using.... but the render time has gone up from several hours (60min piece) to 2days. I used to be able to export a whole version overnight. Not anymore since v12 unfortunately.
Since doing the most recent update my AME render times have increased by a factor of 7 to 10. I took a look at the CPU usage and it's running on all cores to start off but after a minute or so of rendering time it uses only one CPU.I found some discussion on this topic but it was all from 3+ years ago and it looks like it was never resolved. Can someone point me to a more recent solution to this problem? Thanks in advance, rgames
I just switched over to AME 2018 and tried a test encode. SImple compression-only H.264 transcode of a 24m clip of 4k input to 4k output. AME defaulted to adaptive high bitrate preset. Encoding was 54m vs. 18m encode time, 13.4GB vs. 1.9GB file size. Forgive the noob question, but what goodness does adaptive high bitrate offer to make it worth these costs?
In a prior discussion Re: Does Media Encoder support lossless JPEG 2000 MXF, or only lossy? the winning post was that it's lossless. But subsequently I've learned that there are two kinds of lossless files: mathematically lossless and visually lossless. For example this link discusses visually lossless compression https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3649057/ So my questions are:1. Is the jpeg2000 output mathematically lossless or visually lossless?2. If it's not proprietary information, what compression method is used in jpeg2000 encoded files?3. Why does the lossless metadata flag not appear in MediaIinfo, for example. This caused me to wonder if the prior answer that it is lossless was accurate. MediaInfo of another jpeg2000 file shows this but the AME created file does not:Compression mode : Lossless
Been having this issue ever since I upgraded to 5.5...Finish a video in Premiere, export to AME, click the play/start encode. In the encode status, it gets to "Processing: Reading XMP" and simply hangs there indefinitely (hours). Clicking to stop/pause the encode doesn't actually stop it, only way to do anything is to force-quit AME. Then it won't re-open until a restart. Only way I can export my final video from Premiere is the direct export, which works well enough when it's a single video basis, but when I want to do a batch of exports, or continue editing something else while exporting, this completely puts me at a stand-still.Any idea what's with AME just stalling out on me here?
