We're using AME to automatically render using a watch folder. However, in our testing it can take up to several minutes before AME notices new projects to process in the watch folder. We would like to make AME look for new projects in the watch folder as often as possible - it is imperative we cut this delay down to several seconds. Are we overlooking a hidden setting or config file?
I am trying to encode H.265 vertical movie(widht:2160, height:3840), shot on Android smartphone. But Adobe Media Encoder judge as horizontal movie(widht:3840, height:2160) when input this file from a watch folder. One one hand, H.264 vertical movie (widht:2160, height:3840) is judged truly.I want to encode from vertical movie to horizontal one adding pillar box for displaying a 9x16 movie on a 16x9 display. How can I encode H.265 vertical movie without rotating using watch folders.* DeviceSony Xperia XZ : Xperia® XZ Official Site - Sony Mobile (United States) * Movie parameterresolution : width 2160, height 3840format : H.265sample-file : MOV_0078.mp4 - Google Drive * Watch folder parameterThanks for any help!Hiroshi.

Hello,For reasons, listed below but not needed to answer the question, I have to export a ProRes 422 1080i 29.97 file to exactly the same specs in media encoder. Does the 8 bpc vs 16 bpc vs render at maximum bit depth have any effect on the image? We combine our audio mix and Graded master in FCP 7 and export reference quicktimes to episode engine. The files coming out of Resolve 12.5, even though they match our sequence settings and our export settings, are being re-encoded. This cause our export time and file size to match a self-contained export.
I am working of vfx from an episode of one of our successful police drama series. We recently moved from Apple ProRes to Avid.mxf. I get pieces (subclips) of the episode to apply fx.For tracking, we use Mocha AE, which unfortunately is not able to import .mxf, so I have to convert to ProRes for tracking purposes. The tracking results are applied to the orignal .mxf's.The problem I encounter is, that when I drop the .mxf clips (which have descriptive names), AME does not copy the filenames in the queue, but it gets a name from deeper in the files, which refers to the 'mother file' of all clips - so the description is lost, and all clips are named more or less the same, (BlahBlah_Montage, Video Mixdown,5.mxf | BlahBlah_Montage, Video Mixdown,6.mxf etc.)How can I force AME to take the filenames instead, so I can identify which converted clip pairs with the original? Thanks for any help!Jan
Hi,So I upgraded from AME 2015 to 2017 Edition and all the DNxHD options are now missing. They have been replaced with DNxHD SQ/HQ options which are totally useless to us.2017 edition options below, notice 'Codec Settings' are greyed out.2015 editionWe really need access back to these DNxHD options and I can't understand why they have been removed. Can someone at Adobe comment on this and state if they are going to be placed back in? Without these options we are stuck on 2015 edition. We have tried using the SQ/HQ/LB options but they don't work with our Dub workflow.
I wanted to convert three videos from MP4 to MOV.Dragged them into the queue.Selected QuickTime as my FormatGoPro CineForm RGB 12-bit w/ Alpha as my Preset.Export Video and Export Audio are both checked.Opened the video and I get a black screen, but I hear the audio. What is happening here?
Greetings...I have a file I need to give to a vendor and they need a ProRes with PCM audio. Is it possible to make a ProRes file with Media Encoder that has PCM audio? Or if I just set the audio codec to the uncompressed, will that give me PCM?
A client has requested a quicktime file with Animation video codec. They requested the audio to be AAC 44.1kHz. When I go to the audio tab there doesn't seem to be an option for AAC audio. Is this not possible with Adobe Encoder? I'm able to do it with Telestream's Episode software, But I would like to use Encoder because the quality looks better. Thank you,
Never seen this before, in ~30 months of using PrP so far:I was doing a routine export of a multicamera sequence (matching sequence settings). And the exported video switched (appropriately) between cameras accordingly per the source timeline, but only up to ~26 minutes in. Thereafter, all the camera selection changes were just ignored, so that the exported video is, from ~26 minutes on (~6 minutes worth), all from only one camera. Upon discovering this, I checked the source timeline, and all the camera change edits are in place, as they should be. So, the camera switches were not reverted by some weird accident. Rather, the problem was solely in the export.I'm not posting this as a question, since I'm not really expecting an explanation. (Feel free to surprise me, though!) Mostly, I just want a record of this weird little bug, in case it shows up again. The worrisome aspect here, is that this export was rather long (~32 minutes), and I was not

Very happy about using Adobe Media Encoder. Until now.But yesterday when I had handed a video to a customer, I discovered that the video i had uploadet to Vimeo was suddenly in MONO !!I searched for the error and found out that it's AME that's the villain. Even though it writes AAC stereo, whats coming out at the other end are mono. It's not very smart, Adobe! I trust that the gear you rent out to me every month is alright! I'm a freelance and my tasks are important, while directors and CEOs are sitting and evaluating my work for them and they can not explain that it's in mono when most people listen in a headset, just that their experience is limited. As a video producer, I have enough to make sure and handle making videos, and I do not has to sit and check what your software tells me, also are true or false?Pho2graph
HelloI once used the free trial for Media Encoder quite a while ago and have not used it since the trial period ended but, I keep getting update notifications for it.Is there a way to stop getting these update requests or, has Media Encoder now been included with the Photoshop/Lightroom $9.99/mo plan?

Hi,I need some urgent advice on bluray settings. I have a master movie file that is 150GB 1920x1080 29.97 progressive and I want to output the best settings for a blu-ray DVD. I'm not sure what frame rate the export settings should be and whether I should choose H.264 or Mpeg2The DVD is for NZ but I don't know whether it really matters if I choose NTSC or PAL. It is being projected in a cinema if that make a difference. I also have an 8GB version of the film and I'm not sure if the quality difference between that and 150GB file is that different. Is it safer to use the enormous master file?Hope someone can help!
I have a Quicktime file from a video lab that has 4 audio tracks. 2 of the tracks are supposed make up the Dolby E Stream surround sound file. For reference, this is the audio tracks in the Quicktime file:Track 1 and 2: Stereo TracksTrack 3 and 4: Dolby E StreamIs there a way to load the Quicktime file in Adobe Media Encoder, and generate an AAC 5.1 Surround Sound file? Or as a fallback, to take the 2 Dolby E Stream files, and output the 6 separate mono tracks
I've followed the discussions before and changed the preferences but nothing. Could it be the LUT's?

I've downloaded all the WebM presets from WebM for Premiere . They are .epr files. The instructions say to import them one by one into Media Encoder. When I try this, I get an error, "Preset could not be imported. No exporter for this preset."How do I import the presets? (And yes, I tried copying them over in the Systems Presets folder and it didn't work).TIA
