I don’t see the option in UI. We can toggle it manually by setting the /AdobeSaveAsCloudDocumentPreference flag to zero in Adobe Illustrator Prefs, or running this script code: app.preferences.setBooleanPreference ("AdobeSaveAsCloudDocumentPreference",false);   But I treat it as Ai actively trying to lock users in their choise, accidental or not. I can cofirm this happening with bothe the GA and Beta builds. The issue is now reported at UserVoice: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/49716602 The workaround is to disable the 'Highlight anchors on mouse over' in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display — or downgrade, until the team hopefully fix this. There one several existing requests you mention here (and most of them are known to the team, AFAIK: Add Plus buttons as the sides of a selected artboard to quickly add new artboards Provide an option for making artboard names / numbers visible on the artboard (like when editing artboards) This one is tricky. Ai is build upon PostSctipt, and it postulates 1 pixel equals 1 point. And it takes 72 points to make an inch, that’s 'resolution', 72 ppi. It’s hardcoded and won’t bulge. So 1920 px (pt!) / 72 = 26.6(6)" — that’s why. There isn’t a general request to unbind the resolution and disable conversion even, so Ai uses abstract units... I bet this change would be insanely complicated to pull off (although I really wanted to ask for it, because I often have to move artwork between different media... maybe I did? I should recheck). @U-V2, it’s a known request. Gradient interpolation in Illustrator is linear and currently there is no way to change it with a script or a plugin. You can only try to imitate it, like it’s been suggested here. Only Ai team can make actual changes like this.   So — please upvote this feature request about easing and interpolation in gradients in Illustrator. Put some actual examples and explain your intentions clearly. Unless the team finds your arguments solid, they most likely won’t care.   And I have to notice your spacebar key seems broken. Please fix it and try to avoid excessive text decoration. It’s makes reading your messages difficult. ... View more

Modal dialog would be better for this. Panels in Ai made with scripts are really not worth it. Modals launch faster and there is no real need (at least for me) to see the list of opened docs all the time (given the fact we can’t disable tabs really). I can spot the difference (I’ve even downloaded both files to recheck). But to be honest — it’s not a 'Major Bug'. It is a lag, true. Frustrating, yes. Not major still.
