Help! Illustrator Image Trace update quality horrible

I have been doing the same process for years on digitizing my hand drawn type. But with the new update that happened today, I can't replicate the same results I've been getting. I loaded my preset, but I am losing detail. i'm getting weird points. And I'm just losing quality.

Any advice help would be appreciated.
