Hi thanks for getting back to me. Sorry I didn't provide more infor, please see screen grabs of my system and operating software. I run Adobe CC 2020 for PS, Bridge & LR Classic. I don't know why but sometimes everything just goes into snail pace and using any programs becomes impossible. Other times it works absolutely fine. Not sure if background programs are running to slow and I frequently close other programs like Mail, or browsers or Time Machine. Sorry I can't be more helpful. ... View more

Thank you, I do understand that. My gripe is that no warnings were issued by anyone (Adobe or Apple), otherwise I wouldn’t have updated OX to High Sierra. Apple have also disabled the ability to read the original software disks as my Mac won’t read them now even though its the same machine I installed them on! Painful and costly mistake I agree. ... I find it quite outrageous that neither Apple or Adobe made it clear that CS5 would not function correctly after upgrading to High Sierra on iMac,  especially as we are encouraged to upgrade and have done this on several occasions already. To prevent my purchased disk from not playing and running a Repair is scandalous bordering on illegal. The OS may have changed but its STILL THE SAME COMPUTER. WHY don't you have a fix for us who are on CS5? I paid over £600 for this program and do not wish or need to be on the Cloud product. Lightroom 3 disk runs fine and was bought around the same time. I have the same issue issue raised here. I just wish Apple had notified PS users clearly that this could lead to problems and I would never have upgraded to High Sierra. I already made the upgrade to El Capitan with no such problems and had confidence in the Apple brand. Now they have screwed up my software version (CS5) which I paid over £600 for.
