Hey all. Hope this finds you well. Im a big big fan of Blue Note Jazz vinyl record covers. I'm in fact going to be designing a few vinyl releases myself soon, taking lots of inspiration from Blue note. Ive spent some time googling, looking online for vintage retro color palettes but the problem generally seems to be that they are listed in RGB. I will be printing the vinyl obviously in CMYK so wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on where i might be able to perhaps even download some great vintage-retro color scheme palettes that are for printing. As a base for my design i will probably use a nice off-white cream kind of color that a lot of these Blue Note records typically have used. If anyone can recommend please let me know. Many thanks! Many thanks Martin for your comments. I guess an issue we are having is that when you export out of animate directly the file size is just too high. The idea behind the AE and exporting Json files etc is to get really low kb files. Unfortunately I don't know AE at all. Might have to start learning.

We had watch this tutorial How to export an animation with Bodymovin - YouTube where one should be able to import an FLA and then export it using this body moving plugin. We seem to be very close but when we export the files are sort of blank. But i guess that with this video the entire animation has been done within AE eh. So maybe thats the difference here.

Thx very much for your reply 😃 So what happens is that when i try to open and import the FLA file it works no problem but on the timeline itself in AE i cannot see anything at all. No bars, no keyframes. So seems something is not happening as it should. So if you look at my screenshot Dropbox - Screenshot 2019-04-10 at 10.17.16.png you can see that on the left there is all the swf info etc. But where is the entire animation? I can see full animation in the little preview window but not on the timeline. What we are trying to do is export a vector animation using Body moving component in AE outputting some Jason files. That is our ultimate goal.

Hey Martin. Thanks for comments. This is incorrect. This video is being done within Animate Integration of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects with Animate So its the Animate and After Effects workflow For whatever reason I am unable to achieve the same kind of thing. I even tried a basic keyframe animation in Animate because i thought maybe motion tweens are the culprit but that didnt work either. So its important that the file remain as vector.

Hi there! Im a newbie to After effects. Now the issue i am having is that i have imported a FLA which has simple animation ( motion tweens) in it. Im able to import the file successfully to After Effects. So i can view it there etc. The only thing is that why does it not show up in the timeline player. So its empty. Hey all! I started out with Flash back in 2002 or so and spent at least 10 years with it. I am a designer myself. So coding is not something I am good at, worth mentioning that. Just very recently i installed Adobe Animate and was amazed as to how much it still is like flash. Been a long time since I had used flash so was able to get going very swiftly with Animate. My biggest concern now with using Animate is being able to use my animations on the web. One of the developers who works for the same company I do did have this to say from some animation exports i did: "What puzzles me personally is that the adobe generated code is quite garbage-y and too bloated so I have a hard time imagining this is how we should deploy it. At the same time I understand the centiment and need for a designer friendly tool for you, and how to use one to collaborate better. Basically, we care how to export said animations in a somewhat performant way, so that we don’t spit out multiple mega bytes of javascript." So for me the plus's with animate are basiclally not having to learn a new software as its so familiar to flash. However I would still like to know is there anything out there currently which would be a better option that Animate and is catered perhaps more to designers than hardcore coders. Great to get some pointers thank you! Christian
