I recommend to use a different paragraph style for the TOC title, like "itle.toc" based on "title", but without numbering . Based. on is important. to inherit all typographical changes from title.

You use a Hebrew text inside. Perhaps you use a Character Style. Keep the leading field of that style empty (undefined).

The distance between text and frame strokes is defined by text frame options. You find it also as part of the object styles.

There can be several reasons: Placed INDD is on a remote drive and the connection is not reliable from different reasons. The placed INDD is from a different version. Placed Assets in the placed INDD are broken. That is why I recommend to export a PDF/X-4 and place this file instead.

You are noit working with layers at all. All you do is working on one single layer. For text create another layer above. Give the layer appropriate names, avoid generic layer names. Why do you use PNG? Use another file type, better is to use PDF/X-4 or if it is an image use PSD or PDF. Ignore text wrap in the text frame options (cmd + b or even better object style).

In all paragraph styles with Hebrew text or even particles you have to go to Justification/Fine Tuning and change the composer to one of the Adobe World Composer. This will enable a different text direction. Thanks for your prayers.

If. the cmd-click-way does not work do that: Create a new character styles with the needed settings. Delete the old style and choose to replace it with the new style. Rename the new style with the final name.

Create a character style for the awesome symbols. Create 2 paragraph styles, bullets use the character style, the paragraph the normal font. Use next style for each. paragraph style the other style.

In InDesign presets you have to activate typographer's quotes. Install presers section dictionary you have to ser up the correct quotes for each language. Your text must have the correct language.

It helps me, when I activate in the boot panel menu to update all documents, then select all orno document and in the panel menu update all numbers. The problem behind is that my running version is newer than the version which was used the last time I have edited the documents.

Additional to the extended functionality are fonts installed. I have installed English with Hebrew installed. Now I get also needed fonts for biblical commentaries and theological travel guides for Israel. (I typeser for several evangelical German publishers as long as I can as my personal power is limited due to cancer.)
