I have solved it via an unset setting to show folder path. To copy the folders and files to another HDD I created a new folder on the new HDD (which did not see me, but once the folder was created inside it, LRC saw it), and dragging the folders or photos over it ... LRC updated instantly while maintaining contact with the catalog. Thanks for Help!   ... View more

Excuse me but I didn't understand very well. I would like to move photos from my internal HDD to my external HDD. I don't remember exactly what I did the first time but, from what I can understand from your explanation, I think you are right .. that's exactly how it is ... in the file-manager of my operating system (Windows) I see the original folders which are different from those present in LRC, as you say, probably created himself during the import phase. Hi, so a only one Catalog is better than more from what I have read from the various articles, with some exceptions. To create folders of topics, or create for example photos divided by year and topic, better to use the Collections in a single catalog? Example: LRC Catalog, then Collection "Year 2020" and in it other Collections such as "macro", "landscapes", "Fauna" etc ...? Thanks!  I read that creating a single catalog would lead to having LRC slowed down in the presence of many photos. So I wanted to make a "2020" catalog where to insert sub-catalogs by topic (eg Macro, Landscape, Fauna .... etc ...) to keep LRC fast.
