You mention getTimer(), but we realize that our processing on enterFrame() has also degraded by 100 times. It is completely unacceptable for real world applications. Overall, this was the worst solution. From what we can see, this performance degradation was surprise to you. Responsible teams don't work like this. I will not be surprised that Adobe even didn't optimize their code to make things better. I'm almost sure they didn't. 1000 times degradation.... My boss would fire me immediately if I let such crap going to the market!

Personally, I follow all messages in this forum: Flash Runtime Announcements It sends emails whenever new version has been released. One problem is that it stops sending if you don't login to Forums for a long time (a month or so). Other than that, it is good to inform me about new Flash Player, AIR, as well as Betas. I attached simple HelloWorld application to the bug reported, as well as two PDFs, showing Print difference. Looks like PPAPI is always a rastered image. This results to blurred image on screen and on paper. Could someone confirm that, and if this is going to be fixed in nearest future? This is the main reason of why we ask users to use NPAPI rather than PPAPI.

Maria, We compared both NPAPI and PPAPI in our application, and found that quality of picture is worse in PPAPI. It looks like fonts are rendered as bitmaps rather than vectors. Especially this is visible in printing. This is the most outstanding difference why we claim we don't support Pepper flash. It looks like no one else knows these issues. What do we do wrong?

In this thread https://forums.adobe.com/message/7447384#7447384 I was advised to file a bug at Adobe's bug database. I'm going to raise issues I face with, but I need to make some testing first. I found out that "Pepper" Flash embedded into Chrome and "PPAPI" Flash on Adobe site are different plugins, so after installing latter I can see both in "plugins". I wonder if problems I observe in Chrome's Pepper Flash are the same in "PPAPI". poetnerd, do you suffer same problems in both PPAPI plugins (Pepper and Adobe's)?

There is an article on Adobe site how to turn on system Flash Player and turn off Pepper Flash on Chrome. Enable system Flash Player in Google Chrome | Windows | Mac With latest Chrome it doesn't work anymore. System plugin is not displayed in plugins list. Please advise anyone! Thanks, S

Hello, Our application is running fine on Mac OS high DPI Retina displays. But on Windows 8.1 Samsung Ultrabook the application is very small, and all buttons are small to, so it is impossible to use the application. Are there any plans or means to make Flash Player to work in Hi DPI on Windows 8.1? I hope someone from Flash Player team will shed any light on this matter. Sergei.

Just my five cents. Our team faced with similar issue in IE9 when after reload browser no memory released. Our investigations resulted that it is somewhere in "swfobjects.js" that is, JScript is not releasing SWF object in IE. After struggling with it, we ultimately dropped using "history.js" and the issue went away. This issue seems similar.

Jeromie, thank you for doing that. Please keep us posted. It was found yesterday that similar problem is with flash.geom.Point class: if it serialized with "writeObject" then "readObject" doesn't restore "flash.geom.Point" anymore. This seems quite strange especially that, for instance, "Array" or "ArrayList" are serialized/deserialized like a charm. Very confusing. Sergei.

bug is closed by Adobe as "NotABug". Flash Players before 11.3.300.257 had different behavior that was more reliable: placing "Dictionary" object to the local storage allowed reading it as "Dictionary". Like placing "Array" resulted to reading "Array" from shared object. With Player 11.3 it doesn't work anymore. Reading a property that was placed as "Dictionary" results to plain "Object" read. Any code like "var a:Dictionary = sharedObj.myDictionary as Dictionary;" returns "null". This is very annoying bug that resulted to our application not working for 2 days until we found the reason. I regret Adobe doesn't admit this a bug. Writing this in order if someone of developers face with the same issue.

Hi. After 11.3 release we started getting complains of our customers that our Flex online application stopped working. After investigation we found out the reason is that any Flex "Dictionary" object kept in shared object (local storage) is read as generic "Object" aftewards without no ability to cast to Dictionary. It wasn't so with previous Flash Players. The code we have is based entirely on the fact the if "Dictionary" is placed into the local storage, it is read as "Dictionary" after that. Now we are searching works around it. The question is: was it done intentionally so no ability to store "Dictionary" in local storage anymore or was it a bug in Flash Player and it will be fixed?
