I'm pretty sure it's the newest version, because I downloaded it last night(got a new laptop). Yeah, the selection is active. I'm working on a project with a lot of layers. All of the transform stuff works like normal on a project with one layer. I haven't done much for trouble shooting, other than posting about it on here, and tinkering with it some. I would really appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!

I was working on a PS project, no problem, then all of the sudden I couldn't use Free Transform anymore, in the Edit tab all of the stuff by Free Tranform is faded... Any idea on how to correct this?

The desktop I'm currently on is starting to show its age. So, I'm thinking about getting a laptop. Right now, a big chunk of the desktop's HD is all of my 1000s of pictures I've taken over the years. Currently I have 99%+ of my pictures backed up on an external HD. My question is; after getting a new laptop, would it be possible for me to leave all of my pictures on the external HD, and set them catalog to view them from there? My hope is to save a ton of room on the laptops internal HD, and just import images to the laptop when I need them for a project or something.

I believe I have it fixed. I unchecked the box that says something like "Sharpen For: " and after that grain is gone. 🙂

I am wanting to upgrade my PC, one thing I'm hoping to do with that is increase PS performance. I'm working with an i5, 8gb ram, and integrated graphics (yuck). What would be the most helpful at first more/better ram, or a dedicated video card?

So I'm using my desktop, and have been doing my PS stuff with just the integrated Intel integrated graphics. I've been serious thinking about upgrading to a pretty good Mid-range GPU. Will I notice of a performance increase in performance?

I'm a beginner with Lr CC, I just went through and identified some faces and what not. When you are looking at "Named People" is it possible to change which cover photo is displayed with a given person, if so how? For one of the people I've ID'd it is content to just show a picture with the back of the person's head.
