Thanks for getting back to me. I did see that option yesterday. But this morning when I right click in the Missing Photos folder it only iffers me the option to remove this temporary collection. I assume that means it has found everything itself  and is safe to do. Excuse my nervousness but these are all really old photos. The NAS is backed up but will be a pain to restore and re catalogue if so thing goes wrong. By @dcjsimons01   Whatever you do about this collection named Missing Photos will not cause photos to be deleted and will not cause any other damage. Removing the temporary collection removes the collection, not the photos in the collection.   If, as you say, all photos are not missing, you can find them properly, there is no harm.   If you have made true backups of everything, you shouldn't have to re-catalog anything and it shouldn't be a pain to restore at all. ... You can move the folders inside the LrC Library Module and then there is no re-connecting. This is not advised because over the years, people occasionally run into a nasty catastrophic bug where photos disappear, and can't be found in the operating system — photos are gone, disappeared, lost. So I recommend you do the move in your operating system, and then reconnect.   If you move some of the folders but not others, then you can't reconnect all folders at once. You may be able to select in LrC just the moved folders and reconnect all of the moved folders at once, I don't know if this works, because I have never done this.   A better approach, if possible, is to not put the photos on your internal drive to begin with, put them on the desired external drive at Import, and then the move and the reconnecting is not necessary. Move all your photos to the new computer, keeping the folder hierarchy unchanged. Do not rename anything, do not move files or folders within this hierarchy. If your photos were on the D drive on the old computer, do this move so that they are on the D drive on the new computer (or whatever letter, it must be the same on both computers) and in the exact same spot.   Alternatively, if your photos are already on an external HD that can be easily moved to the new computer, that's even simpler, just make sure the drive letter is the same as on the new computer.   Move the catalog file and related files (.lrcat-data) to the new computer.   Install LrC on the new computer.   Double-click on the catalog file to open it.   Do not add in extra steps.
