The Profile Browser in LRC 15.1 is broken, acting erratically, cutting off the profile thumbnails to the point of not being usable.   I suddenly started having this issue with the LRC Profile Browser today. Whether in List, Grid, or Large mode, the profiles are cut off on the right; the sets don't wrap around, so they show only one row (that is, 2 or 3 profiles out of, say, a set of 12), and the entire panel is hiding under the central image panel, so the complete names of the profiles can't be read. There's no arrow on the bottom to push the profile window to the right so they come out from under the central panel. I have the latest LRC version 15.1.    I saw that another person posted here about this problem in December, and one of the Adobe folks responded with: Oh, you're the only one having this problem so it's not a bug. Well, no, he isn't the only one. I'm having it too. IT IS A BUG.   As suggested, I rebooted and the problem seemed to resolve. The profiles were all back as before. BUT only for a moment. The minute I adjusted the width of the right panel the Profile Browser problem reappeared. I have been using Lightroom since the very beginning and have NEVER seen this problem. This is a BUG.    I need to be able to adjust the width of the side panels because I'm on a 14 inch laptop and I need to maximize the screen real estate. Adjusting the size of the panels has never caused any issues until now. So this is definitely a bug, and I hope Adobe will fix it in the next update. It's most urgent.   My specs: I'm on a Macbook Pro Apple M2 Max, running Sequoia 15.7.1., 96 GB memory.  I'm using Adobe Lightroom Classic, 15.1 release, the latest one.   Please somebody tell me how to fix this or that this is being fixed. Thanks, but Fix Presets doesn't work with Lightroom Classic 12.4. I see no Plugin Manager.  That's why it's so important for Adobe to include better organizing tools within LRC.  Batch moving presets is a basic essential requirement sorely missing right now. ... View more

So I need to update the status of my issue. Turns out whatever it was had nothing to do with my updating the OS. The files that are missing in one folder showed up in another because of the merge. So at least nothing was lost.    Then, the edits I made in Camera Raw/Bridge -- which I, apparently mistakenly, thought should automatically show up in Lightroom bu don't ... well a tip I saw on selecting "Read Metadata from File"  solved that problem: all my edits materialized!     Thanks, everyone, for your helpful input!  ... The short answer: the missing edited images show an exclamation point in All Photographs.   And now I remember something I totally forgot about. After the OS updating, when I opened LR by clicking on this folder, I got a message: these images already exist in LR. Do you want to merge? Stupidly, I chose yes. Big mistake!    It's this merge that's causing this issue. Now all the images (edited and unedited) in the folder are showing as missing, with an exclamation point. Whereas  the duplicates that got merged-- (all of them unedited) -- show as visible.    When I go to Finder to find the missing image-- which it does find-- it says this image is associated with another image in LR, and LR only allows one image to be associated with a missing image (I'm paraphrasing).  In short, this is a big mess. I never should have allowed the merge.    Just to test a theory I had: I removed (from within LR) one of the unedited images, then tried again to "find" that same "missing" image and it worked! It found the edited image, so I got back my original image plus my edits.    My question: How can I undo the merge, without manually deleting and relinking 250 images?  I can't bear the thought of having to do this maually for 250 images. Well, that makes no sense at all. If one's building a mask, one wants to move the whole mask. It's a ridiculous flaw!   In any case, I had no idea and am shocked to discover this. Maybe this is the first time I'm trying this. I usually use the brush adjustment and that has no trouble being moved, even with erased parts. Oh well....   Thanks so much for letting me know. I used the brush available in the Radial panel. If I'd used the regular brush, I'd have another pin for that brush. There is no other pin. The brush is embedded in the radial adjustment. But the whole thing doesn't move together. The brush part doesn't move at all. I can't figure it out. Don't know if it's a bug. Very disappointing. You can do what you wish without moving the center point. Hold down the Alt or Opt key while moving the outer points to create any kind of oval shape you need for faces. Use the brush tool to mask. The center point remains in the center and is irrelevant in this case.   I know this is an old post so hopefully you got an answer a long time ago. I just came across it today. Yes. But I’m not sorting by File Name. I’m sorting by File Type or File Extension. And the alphabetical rule seems to apply here as well. Unfortunately. Thanks for your input. At this point I’m about ready to surrender and just live with it. I think that in the past when you switched from File Type to File Extension (or vice-versa, don’t remember), the display swapped between showing RAWs or JOGs first. No longer.
