I have seen others reporting similar issue at MARKERS or CUTS. Here is one thread started by me, with other people replying with same issue. Installed version 12.0.1. Markers Moved by 2 frames Note: I later found that Markers didn't move actually. Only they are not showing the same frames as before.

Over the years, i used many cameras, Canon 5D, Sony, Red.etc.. producing clips at 720p or 1080p at 23.976 fps. I guess Camera type has no bearing on this issue. The footage is basically 23.976. If you are doing a test, you can download ANY video on YouTube, Vimeo with 23.976 fps and test.

To explain it with an example: Lets say you have a sequence with various clips, each with a minute duration. 00:00:00:00 - Apples 00:01:00:00 - Oranges Clip Starts 00:02:00:00 - Bananas Clip Starts 00:03:00:00 - Mangoes Clip Starts Place Sequence markers at exactly when each new clip starts in Sequence. Now update the Software. The markers still are at 00:00:00:00, 00:01:00:00, 00:02:00:00, 00:03:00:00. BUT At 00:00:00:00 your are seeing Apples. At marker 00:01:00:00 you are still seeing Apples, unless you move 2 frames to 00:01:00:02 to see Oranges clip At marker 00:02:00:00 you are still seeing Oranges, unless you move 2 frames to to 00:02:00:02 to see Bananas clip etc..

Hello Kevin, I had to write a ExtendScript to list and move all the marker positions by 2 frames right. And I had to execute the script on all Sequences with markers. Problem: I made markers earlier in video sequences using PPro 12.0.0. (my videos are 23.976 fps) For example: I made markers at 00:00:00:00, 00:01:00:00, 00:02:00:00, 00:03:00:00, 00:04:00:00 etc.. representing cuts at shot boundaries or chapters in my Video. Now, after upgrading the Software, to 12.0.1 or 12.0.2, the maker positions and timings REMAIN SAME. BUT the markers are not showing the same video frames underneath as before. The video frames under the markers are either OFF by 2 frames left or right. FIX. To solve this, I wrote a program to move all the markers by 2 frames, to fit into original frame positions. QUESTIONS: The main question is WHY ARE THE MARKERS OFF and not showing the same video frames as before. Is there are simple solution to this?

Hello e.d & Bruce The sequence is saving correctly now. However, all my efforts are simply to find the root cause of my ORIGINAL PROBLEM and then fix it. Problem: I made markers earlier in video sequences using PPro 12.0.0. Let say I made markers at 00:00:00:00, 00:01:00:00, 00:02:00:00, 00:03:00:00, 00:04:00:00 etc.. which may represent cuts at shot boundaries or chapters in my Video. Seems working. Thanks Trevor_Asq. However the changes made by script execution are not saving. I mean the markers are moving. But when I reopen the Sequence, the changes are gone. Why are the changes not committing ? Is there any script statement that need to be added to save?

After installing new PPro version, all the sequence markers and cuts, in my video sequence, are off by 2 frames. Marker timings changed by 2 frames. Original Video Sequence is in 23.976 fps. Not sure how to fix this. Anybody can help? [Typo fixed in title — Mod.]

Hi, I'm trying to move all existing markers in my Sequence by exactly 2 frames to the right. Each individual frame is incremented by 0.04170833333333 (time in seconds) from previous frame. (my video is 23.976 fps) So I tried to add 2 Frames worth of value 0.04170833333333. i.e., 0.08341666666666 to each marker; and create new markers and remove old markers. It worked for most of the frames. Most markers are moved by 2 frames. BUT some markers have only moved by 1 frame. They failed to move because of a very tiniest fraction difference. Can anyone help, how to fix this. Example: A marker at 00:33:16:06 (in frames) whose start.seconds value is 1998.24625. I want to advance this marker by 2 frames. If I add 2 frames worth of time in seconds to 1998.24625, it becomes 1998.32966666666. When I create a marker, using markers.createMarker (1998.32966666666), method, its only advanced to 00:33:16:07 (in frames) instead of 00:33:16:08 (in frames) So I have added a new frame manually at 00:33:16:08 and checked its time in seconds which came to 1998.32966666667. This means a new frame move is missed by 0.0000000001 difference.

e.d, I'm sorry not to respond immediately. I simply opened a sequence and tried to run the code as-is, from ExtendScript Toolkit , Premiere Pro stopped responding and I had to Shut down. And I couldn't open the sequence again. I had to get a copy of sequence to restore it. I'm sure I might have done something wrong. May be I have to include additional libraries. I'm not sure. But thanks for your solution. I'll try again.

Is Release Window for SDK versions same as Creative Cloud Versions? I mean for bug fixes, updates, new capabilities etc.. Not sure where I can see release history information. I'm able to get Timecode from CTI object seq.CTI.timecode; also seconds. But when converting the seconds back to Time code it gets confusing. How to calculate Timecode value from Seconds, using Ticks, Timebase and Zero Time?

Looks like its a bug as SWAX pointed. Without Alert, its writing the same IN/OUT points. Some kind of CLEAR function is needed. Or does it exist?
