This would be helpful for me to see photos that are not added to a specific collection or any collection at all (and should be).   Heres an example of my workflow where this would be helpful: I take photos daily of various projects and then add them to collections based on the specific project. Sometimes, this doesn't happen due to time, forgetting, having them imported in the field through CC on Ipad, etc. So down the road when I go to edit a specific project and look at them through the Collection I often times end up missing photos that never got added. I find that I quite often am right clicking on photos in my daily usage just to make sure I have them added to a collection when I come across them in the catalog.      ... View more

+1 on all this. The ability to sync RAWs from Lightroom Classic up to the cloud is a very much needed missing feature. In my workflow, I regularly edit my photos on an iPad and editing smaller Smart Previews doesn't work for me. Especially if I want to export photos from my iPad for production reasons.   To get around this at times i've used workflows of just importing all photos to iPad first, but this gets messy. I've also tried adding the RAWs to Lightroom CC after the smart previews are synced from Classic, this is also messy. ... View more

Just to speak from experience on this, I am running Lightroom Classic 14.5.1 on a MacBook Pro 14" M4 Pro 48GB and there are some issues.   Performance isn't great at times, having to restart Classic a few times a day. I'm having random window issues where I have to go to Window-Fill to bring the window back. Typing in the Keyword box is extremely laggy, had never expeirenced this issue before. I use LRc all day each day and it's not show stopping stuff, but looking forward to an update that I hope will address some of these issues. ... View more

Just want to add this issue is still a thing for me on 14.1.1 on macOS 15.3. I can hit B to add to non-synced Quick Collection and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.    I also can't drag items to collections at times. ... View more

Currently have a 97GB previews file. Each time I change the "Limit Preview Cache Size" option to below 97GB i'll get the message "Allocated preview cache size is less than current cache size. Previews will be purged soon."   Can this be moved to bugs or is this expected behavior? ... View more

While using AnySource is certainly a good way to just clear up all the photos needing republishing, this isn't helpful at all in some workflows. Such as mine where I do regularly edit and make changes to photos and rely on those needing to be republished to know which edits need to actually be re-published.   I've read into this issue for years and I think i've come to the conclusion this happens when new Develop features are added to Lightroom and then these database entries being new on a photo making it appear that theres been a change. Thanks, I did look at this. I have a hardware calibrated Benq display and tried switching to different profiles in System Preferences with no luck. It doesn't happen to all photos and the other one i noticed it was a problem on (which i can't find at the moment) also had similiar evening blue skies. ... View more

Yes, there are certainly way too many hoops to go through for someone who doesn't have this very unique situation I am working with. There is no doubt I am trying to get clever to make this workflow work for me. I am not doing it to be clever and sneaky, there is a very specific reason I am being forced to make this work this way. I wish there was easier ways to do this for my workflow, but there just isn't and this is good enough for now. In the end my biggest wish would be to have the option not to sync RAW at all from mobile, just metadata. But thats an entire other story. I know we are in the very beginning stages of syncing and there is a lot to be desired but I also work in an environment that is switching to CaptureOne products due to long standing Lightroom performance issues. It really comes down to wether the syncing options with multiple devices become strong enough to outweigh the sluggishness of Lightroom to save my company and it's parent company from switching completely. I am an advocate for Lightroom and have been since the first version. With all that being said, I certainly wouldn't recommend my workflow to others unless they have a deep understanding of Lightroom and syncing. I do know that there are people out there that do obscure things like this and maybe they will find this conversation helpful. I certainly appreciate everyones responses and taking the time to discuss this - i've learned some things I didn't know as well.
