I am on PS V24.0.1 now and it seems more stable, though it has hung and crashed on very large PSD files (365MB) with many layers and auto recovery did work. But no crash reporting. Photoshop 24 came out on October 18th. So how does an older Nvidia Driver from September fix the problem? I initally had Photoshop 2023 V24 with Nvidia Studio Driver 522.30 which is newer and PS 24 would reandomly close without a crash report dialog box. Oh the old Dell puts bloatware response to a problem. Yeah, you know it came with AOL and Compuserve and the 56K modem was a little slow, and I had problems with my Creative Labs CD-ROM drivers working initally too. Just reinstalled PS24 for kicks and giggles and it still crashes! I got a crash dialog box this time. But the second time no dialog box PS 24 just closes. Also after installing PS 24 the file assoications for PS 24 don't work and you have to manually assign it in Win Expolrer to always open with PS. This is also with a brand new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. Going back to 23.5.2 which works perfectly. It sure would be nice if Adobe had a change log somewhere. Changes to the behavior of the Library Module should be thoroughly documented, especially if this was one of the ways they sped up the catalog loading, which seems to be a lazy work-around for big catalogs. No, No, No. If you read the complete thread you will see that it has something to do with the way Adobe is now counting images in parent folders with and without files in the root of the parent folder.  If no files are in the parent it will display 0. If there are sub folders with files in the sub folders it shows the counts for each sub folder, but 0 if no files are in the parent. If the parent folder has files in it the count shows the count for only the files in the parent folder and does not include the sub folder counts. Adobe Math! Sucks and is annoying. There is 2913 files. 2911 NEF Files 2 Tiff Files. 3,485 Files, 4 Folders I guess the concept is to show you that you have files in the root. You should be able to show total count of images in a parent folder and its child folders. If you have the Library Set to "Show Photos In Sub Folders" on, you should get a total count. Same deal with me, Lightrooom Classic CC been pretty stable over the years. The worst part for me is this also happened right when I replaced my 5 year old Windows PC with this new computer and LR CC Classic 7.3 and Photoshop CC was causing my brand new computer to completely freeze right after I did the installs. It was freaking me out that this new computer was way too fast for LR. I installed an old version of Fireworks and Dreamweaver CS6 and they are working just fine.
