Seeing the same kind of collection renaming. I've reset a couple times trying different things, none of wish worked. I am now trying just setting one collection name at a time. This approach is very cumbersome conserding about 100 collections over 40,000 photos. So far one at a time seems to be working.

With 13.3.1 how do we get any missing gps/location back? Will it automatically fix things all do we have to do something. In particular do we have to drop back to 13.2 catalog and lose any changes that we made since? Something else?

Like others mine has gotten to the point where it no longers shows any signs of movement. Shows 8 photos to upload. No sync errors showing. New changes do seem to move up/down as required. Did work with support and he took the Sync Diagnostic file, and some other logs. My internet speed is fast enought that I would nuke the online, IF PEOPLE were not still reporting problems with that approach.

I do not have an acrobat x instatlled. It just says it sees version 10.11 and that their is an update. Two machines ago (2006 or earlier) I had some version of acrobat installed that was included with a IBM product that coverted IBM Advanced Function printouts to displayable (as a PDF). That was before I retired. I long since uninstalled both Acrobat and the IBM product, and they were not installed on later PC's (2011 and 2019). I cannot find any trace of them and the Adobe Cleanups also ran without finding them. But the Adobe Crative Cloud desktop sees something.

correction I don't want to update or install Adobe Acrobat DC, it just insists that I have an update. It thinks I have adobe Acrobat X installed (says version 10.11). I've run the cleaners serveal times with no success. I've done this with and without have adobe Reader DC installed, and that made no difference. This of course means that, among other things, I can't leave the creative cloud desktop option "Auto-update" set. Since there was one new cleaner I tried doing all the cleaners again. I first did a normal removal of acrobatd reader DC and a reboot. then each cleaner and a reboot. And for those that have reader and acrobat cleanups, I did each one with a reboot. Nothing changed. It still thinks I have a acrobat 10.11 installed even though no acrobat or readers are installed. And note this is no a case where I have an older Acrobat that I don't want to get removed.

This is a long outstanding problem. Adobe cc thinks I have acrobat 10.11 installed and keeps trying to install the latest DC version. I do not have it installed. Two pc's ago I probably had a version included with some IBM software that the company I worked for used. However it was uninstalled. On current machine have tried verious fixes with no success, including ... Running various ADOBE CLEANERS. Letting it install the "update" and then deleting the "trial". COMPLETE UNINSTALL of adobe products. Run Cleaners. Then reinstalling the products i do use. Don't even want to go near that again as the reinstall of CS6 was a real pain that I actually needed Adobe support to help with (they at that time also couldn't figure out why it was seeing Acrobat X) The products I do have are Premier pro CS6, Adobe CC Photography. Acrobat Reader DC, and Adobe Digital additions.

Not sure when this changed (it worked fine last fall), but when you ask for a public link you now get what I am assuming the Link for invited users. I just sent out a link to a bunch of the family on an old collection and they were asked to signin. Since most never had an adobeid they were totally confused. I had to go to web version to find the correct link for the collection. Lightroom Classic (windows versin) release 9.3 Build 202005281810 Probably need new options also to say make collection private, public or invite only

If on the other hand, you have updated, but keeps reminding you, something is broken; please share your version of Reader and a screen shot of the message. Its not offering to upgrade the reader. It is offering to upgrade Adobe Acrobat CC and it installs installs that if you click on Upgrade. But it then pushes trial license messages if you use it. And tries and use it rather than Reader for all your PDF's. A real problem once the trail period ends. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is current (17.012.20098)

1) problem is NOT answered 2) Happens even if you have only Adobe Reader installed. I have run the tools that are suppose to remove all traces of Acrobat but still have this problem The problem is now even more annoying after some sort of update of CC. I now regularly am getting a popup pushing that I need to update. Only have the Reader DC installed and Photoshop CC.

On my android version of lightroom mobile its like pulling teeth to get the sort in to capture time order (my usual sort). They are correct in my lightroom CC on my pc and even when I ask for the various links or direct logon in my PC web browser. Seems to come up most often with newest first. I have tried things, and sometimes can get it to change the order after first changing the sort back and forth and choosing to picked and back again to all.. latest version of lightroom cc and from lightroom play [Moved from non-technical Lounge Forum to specific Program forum... Are you still looking for thumbnails or are you looking for previews in the preview pane. Views in the preview pane seem to work fine in windows 7 x64 and windows 10 x64 on my machines. Thumbnails were apparently discontinued and instead you get a generic one.

I am getting prompted about an update to my ADE which is at 4.0.3.110333. But it fails to download asking me to check my internet connection. My internet connection is not showing anything wrong.

Okay some confusion there. The preview handler was fixed (that was the one that required a registry change on x64 bit machines). The generation of a unique thumbnail is not automatic. And it doesn't appear to be in Adobe Reader DC (at least I can't get them working there) but was in Adobe reader xi.

Macbinary, This specific problem WAS and IS fixed for most users. Not sure what problem you are seeing. Note did you try the solution that someone mentioned and going into the general preferences and selecting "set as default PDF handler"? When you look at IE addons do you see the reader listed with a 32 and 64 bit version?

No it was fixed. And Acrobat reader DC does contain the plugin (acroPDF64.DLL). Works fine for me. Not sure it will work in windows 10 (SPARTAN/EDGE) since it uses its built-in PDF viewer

I am currently running 11. A free upgrade from 10 which they gave photoshop.com subscribers when they killed photoshop.com. Considered going to 12 because it has better adoberevel support than 11, but am hoping that 13 has ever better adoberevel support (rumored) and is finally 64-bit. Yes they still list free upgrades, but in the past it was limited to a specific period before the new release, usually after the official announcement .

May be same symptom, but the original problem has been solved for 2 or 3 years. Suggest a new thread. Works fine for most of us with lastest Adobe reader XI and latest Internet explorer 11. The latest adobe reader even includes a 64-bit plug-in so works in IE running 64 bit (enhanced security) instead of having to launch outside of it. p.s. do not make any to registry changes mentioned early in this thread that were suggested when the problem originally existed.

The later versions of adobe reader (you responded to a post from 2012), included the fix. before them the solution in post 33 had to be done manually

THe e_auth_not_ready can be fixed by deleting your authorization (yes you have one even though it doesn't show) and then reauthorizing. After launching ADE hit CONTROL+SHIFT+D and say yes to delete authoriztion. Then go back in and reqauthorize your computer. You may want to also connect any devices and delete and reauthorize them.

Not sure if it works for this case, but try launching ade and hitting control+shift+D. Should ask you if you want to delete your authorization on this computer. Then try authorization again. Note ADE 2.0 recommended.

Had the same problem. You need to deauthorize your computer first (they screwed up the migration of the authorizations to 2.0. Launch ade then hit CONTROL+shift+D. it will ask you if you want to deauthorize your computer. Say yes. When you go back in you should see authorize option and can reenter your adobe id and password. Next connect your nook, and delete its authorization and then authorize it again. Problems is apparently because 2.0 supports multiple authorizations while 1.7 did not.
