I am trying to open my old cc 2018, so I can use the 3d workspace. I have never had an issue with it before, but today, it quit, with a message that I need to renew. I'm baffled. Why do I have to renew a product that isn't even supported, anymore, or offered for download? Is there a work-around to this? Bummed.

Opened PS today, after updating, and all my recent files are gone. If I click on "my files", old files from much older versions are loaded, but nothing I've worked on over the last few weeks. I import previous settings when updating, so where did they go? This is annoying.

I have recently begun to have an issue with my soft brush in Photoshop. When masking, it shows jagged edges like torn paper. When used as a brush, it looks like it has a dark, bleeding center, instead of a nice fuzzy ball or line, both with my mouse and my wacom stylus. I have tried resetting the brushes, resetting my preferences, and tweaking Nvidia. I have updated Windows (10), Geforce and photoshop. This is happening in 24 and in Beta. This has never happened before. No, I am not accidently using the pencil tool. I can't find anything on the internet to help. Can you put your big brains to work to help me figure this out, please? I'm quite frustrated. I can share a psd file, if you need it.

The update installed right before I opened it today, so that's not it. I closed ps and restarted, and the problem is gone, as is the case each time. However, I will disable Native Canvas next time, to see if that helps. Thank you for your solutions. Kindest regards, Margaret

Has anyone seen this before? You go to create a new doc, or open a new one, and, instead, you get a see-through window to your desktop. I've had this happen before, and I just shut down ps and reopen. But, it would be nice to know what's causing this. It is not solved by updates or new releases.

Apparently, my "obtuseness" is worse than I thought. For some reason, I had circular selected instead of linear. Years and years of photoshop under my belt, and I get sidelined by something so utterly random. Sorry.

Ok, now I have encountered a new 3D problem. Yesterday, PS v 22.4.1 was messing up the spheres by chopping them into pieces when I tried to make any materials adjustments. Today, it seems back to normal. Do you have any idea what might cause this, in case I encounter it again? Also, it doesn't show the 3D workspace like it did before. 2020 works tickety-boo, like always.

When I create a sphere in 2021, it adds a strange white edge and haze that I can't get rid of. I don't get this in 2020. I'm not experienced in 3D, so I'm looking for any advice I can get. (Sorry - the third sphere is a different issue.)

I was hoping I'd finally find a solution to this issue here, but no luck. My splashscreen stalls out at Reading Preferences. I reset the preferences, and it still hangs up there. It still takes 5 minutes to load, and now, I have to go back in and recreate my preferences. That was a bit of a waste of time and energy. Any other tips you can give me? Thank you for any help at all.

I'm constantly on the search for solutions to this problem. Every rabbit hole I find, I dive in. Including this one. Here is it, 2019, and I'm still having this problem. The white workaround doesn't work around anything for me. I'm on PC, Windows 10. The polygonal lasso tool continually snaps closed before I've finished the selection, and I can only use it with the mouse. Neither of my wacom tablets can use the tool at all because it sticks and becomes unresponsive. It is the most frustrating issue I've encountered over the last several updates. I used to have no issues with my pen tablet, but since several updates ago, my most important tool is no longer available. No one, not Adobe or Wacom, can offer a solution that I haven't tried. Updates to drivers, os, graphics card, new pen, new battery pack, command prompts, clean unstall/reinstall, ad nauseum. This problem happens with my laptop and my desktop, two different tablets (one old, one new). I despair of a solution.

This just shouldn't happen, Adobe. Update CC and lose access? It doesn't make sense. And, it doesn't make sense to have to jump through all of those hoops to get back in. I went to my laptop and logged in there. That was the only way to make CC accessible to logging in on my desktop. Ridiculous.

With Adobe's help, we finally were able to download the files directly to my computer, rather than to my PS library. They just don't work in the library, but I can access them as regular PSD documents.
