Good Morning, I'd love some guidance. I'm using LrC 12.4 on a Windows 10 platform and I use a Nikon camera. I am not a professional photographer in that I don't need to export print-quality images. I use my images online only for my blog. I'm trying to manage my burgeoning image library and notice I have duplicates of the same images, in .NEF and .DSC. Do I need to have both for LrC to edit? And if not, which one is the best to keep? Thanks, Lynn

So that article suggests turning the GPU off to see if that solves the problem. In my case, the GPU has already been disabled, which seems to be causing the problem. The GPU driver was just updated yesterday by Adobe support and then rather quickly caused the problem. So, does that provide any further insight as to what ht problem is?

Thanks for your response. So would you try to update the driver before anything else? Lynn

Hi, Happy Sunday! LrC Version 12.4, Camera Raw 15.4 Windows 10 Had to reinstall LrC and deal with corrupted catalog today. Thought all was good to go, but now, when I try to edit in Develop, the edits are only showing in the small thumbnail, not the larger edit window. See the second attachment. I read some threads about similar problems, and the GPU seemed to be the culprit. Coincidentally, I received an error today about my GPU when I tried the new 'denoise' feature. I see that my GPU has been 'disabled due to error' when I look up my preferences (see first attachment). How should I proceed?

I want to adjust the brightness on several clips. Selected them all and adjusted brightness, but only the first one selected adjusted. Is this an option at all?

Thanks Bill and Bob, I was able to determine that it was the actual video...froze in the same spot on VLC. I downloaded it from my phone and it was much better. Thanks again!

Thanks Bill. I think I have plenty of disk space (672gb), video is only 1 gb. And as the video has gone on, it freezes in other areas too. How would I know if it was corrupted?

Audio continues, but video stops. I have cleared cache, closed program and restarted my PC several times, but keeps freezing in same spot. Shooting video with my Pixel 6...I'm pretty sure I've used it for video before, but not 100%. Had been using Pixel 4. Any suggestions?

Argh...Thanks Rob. I clearly need some hands on help. I reached out to Adobe, they said they no longer support this version. Do you know anyone who I could hire to work with me on this?

Hi Rob, thanks for replying and thanks for your help. I'm stymied, but I imagine it is something very simple. I believe I am copying from USB D:drive to BLOG E:drive (see attached). What other import setting screenshots would be helpful? Yes, I am looking in E: Blog (see attached, 2 images...showing E drive and where 'Substitutions' should be)

I've had to reinstall LR after a computer crash. Previously, when I imported images, I would put them in a folder, as shown on the first image (29) . When I would go to Library, they would be in the folder where I put them on import . However, with the new import, they aren't showing up in my library, where I put them (30). I can find them, but they aren't in the folder that I put them in. I'm baffled. Any guidance is most appreciated. I tried to take screenshots showing the issue.

I had a computer issue and had to send it out to be fixed. Previously, I had all my LR files on my E drive, but the repairman moved all my files to a D drive. I feel like this should be very simple, but I can't figure out how to point LR to my D drive now and not my E drive for my library. I read some of the previous posts on this issue. One suggested 'Just copy the catalog to the external hard drive and then double-click on it in its new location. You might want to copy the previews as well."...is that in file explorer? Thank in advance for your help.

I've made my video, but it won't stop at the end of the clips and won't render. I've let it run to see if there might have been some 'outlier' clips that were inadvertently put in the timeline, but after an hour, still won't stop. I've set the beginning and end in the WAB and see that it has the appropriate beginning and end timestamp...so, I'm befuddled. Any suggestions?

All of a sudden it seems my videos are uploading very slowly. My 32kb video is taking 2 hours to upload to youtube or to export to my drive. I have updated my drivers. Anything else I can do to speed it up?

Hi, I'm confounded! I recently switched to Google Pixel4 and while I thought I had my video setting right, I am clearly doing something wrong. I am having to enlarge the video when I import into my Premiere Elements Editor and then it just doesn't look as smooth as the original. I tried to run Shake Reduction and got the error message 'Shake Reduction requires clip dimensions to match project.' so clearly I don't have it right, but not sure where I am going wrong. I am attaching screenshots showing project settings and clip settings. Any suggestions are most appreciated. TIA

I have found the solution. Not only do I need to force PrE to the frame size when I set up the project, but then I also went to Edit>Preferences>General and unclicked 'Default Scale to Frame Size'. Works great now.

Just tried Handbrake but it doesn't fix the frame size issue? I still have to pull the corners of my video to fit the PrE screen, thereby reducing the quality.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. 1) I don't think I've been forcing it...but I just started a sample project and did force the settings. I noticed that on the projects that I didn't force the setting, PrE set them at 1280 x 720. 2) definitely not holding vertically. 3) attaching screenshots of sample project. Even though I forced to 1920 x 1080 (60fps), I will still have to drag out the corners...is that normal?

So, it has just dawned on me (yup, I'm a little slow) that I must be doing something wrong. I shoot my video on my Galaxy S8 and upload it to Premier Elements to edit. Every time I go to edit, I need to enlarge the video a good bit by pulling the corners. Inevitably, I am zooming in so much that the quality starts to pixellate. I'm shooting in 1920 X 1080 (60fps) and that's the setting on my project as well...but something is awry. I know, this is clearly a basic piece of info that somehow I've missed... So, what's the best way to make sure that my settings are in sync? Oh, and what is the best setting for my phone to be recording at? Thanks in Advance, Lynn
