Change the line if (redSource == 0x00ff0000) { to if (redSource == 0x000000ff) { and you will see the test "Red detected" if any of the pixels contain full red. However, what you do with it also seems suspect. Cheers Eddie

I believe JW understands the calculation. His post includes the correctly calculated time in seconds. What he is asking is why PPro is showing the timecode of the duration of the clip as "00:00:36:20" instead of "00:00:37:08" which is what it should be, given the 25 fps setting. JW, is it possible the user interface is showing the duration of something else? If you could post a screen shot showing the clip with its properties and the panel that is showing the strange timecode, it would be helpful to figure out where the disconnect is occurring. Ah, as I suspected, these types of plug-ins are limited to scriptable functionality within the host app. I'm not sure why you find it surprising, the industry trend is toward user interfaces driven by markup langauge. I'm more of a filter and transition plug-in developer, so this isn't for me. Cheers Eddie

You cannot "run" the .prm file, you need to run Premiere Pro to use your plug-in. See the sections "How to build the SDK projects" and "Debugging Plug-ins" in the Premiere Pro SDK documentation. Cheers Eddie

Zac, it's great to see this forum finally arrive. It's been a long time coming. I'm not aware of any other public forum for PPro SDK users to share their experience. Personally, I use the SDK for custom effects and transitions for my own use. If ever I have the time to polish them up I may release some of them for general use.

As Harm says, you can import one project into the other, or import both projects into a third new one. I also wanted to mention that (new in CS4) you can import one or more sequences from another project. Welcome to the forums. I suspect the .TS stands for "transport stream", rename it to .MPG and then you can convert it. See the following links for more help: FAQ: How do I import xyz format files?
