I'm working on a Wedding Edit with a 4k UHD 24fps timeline. It's a 20-30 minute edit that's still in the works. I started out with converting alot of the 60fps footage to 24fps by slowing the footage down by 40%. It played back smooth without pausing any frames. I needed a break from the edit so I saved it and quit out of the application for a while. I come back and all the footage I slowed down is pausing frames when it didn't earlier. I didn't interpret the footage, I wanted to be able to have control over which clips I slowed down and didn't want convert the ones I didn't want in slow motion I've been at this edit for a while and I don't want to go back through and have to re-edit all the video clips. Anybody have any solutions? I've posted spec pics. Premiere is Version 23.6.0

Hi Kevin, I'm actually not sure, I'm not the one who shot the footage. But it does tell me "Apple ProRes 422 LT" in the compressor under the video properties. I can't attach the clip because it's apart of a work project & can't share any of the raw files. I didn't notice it until the Media Encoder didn't finish exporting the proxy file. It always got stuck when rendering & could never finish. I didn't know what my other options were, so I put it into Davinci and it played it back and exported it out no problem. I know it's probably hard to conclude this and get the right solution without the clip, but I'm trying to figure out if it's the software or the video clip? Takes 2 & 3 are the exact same properties, nothing is different and they played fine, no issues. I keep wondering if a part of the clip could've become corrupted? The problem's fixed and I have temporary workaround, I'm just curious to see what caused this so I can't prevent it with future projects. If you have any ideas, let me know! Thanks!

Hi Everyone! Looking to see if maybe someone knows, I look online but I'm not finding the right answer/solution. I'm working on a documentary project and every other clip plays back perfectly except one of the takes from the interview footage. It's a raw 4096 by 2304px clip in a .mov format. For some reason at 1:17:56 it stops playing (but the playhead continues moving forward) and Premiere crashes, causing it to create a copy file. I was able to render out a H.264 in Davinci without any playback or render issues. I replaced the clip inside Premiere and everything is now working great (only now, I have two copies of the project). I was wondering maybe if anyone knew what could potentially be going on? Is it the clip or Premiere? I edit on a Macbook Pro: 16" 2021 - with 64GB of Ram, M1 Max chip with the newest Version of Premiere Pro (v23.0) Type: QuickTime Movie File Size: 226.40 GB Image Size: 4096 x 2304 Frame Rate: 23.976 Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 24-bit - Stereo Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo Total Duration: 01:30:35:00 Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0 Alpha: None Color Space: Rec. 709 Color Space Override: Off Input LUT: None The Sequence matches the clip exactly as I used it to create the sequence. Using a separate preset sequence had no effect whatsoever. Just looking to see what could potentially be happening so I can avoid this issue with future projects. Thank You!

Hi Everyone! Hoping someone can help me out, I'm not finding answers from online sources. I'm submitting a film to the Holly Shorts Film Festival and when uploading a DCP to their online form, it says the "Quvis Wraptor Plugin" is known to be incompatible. Is there a way to export a DCP file that's in an "SMPTE" or an "InterOP" format? I haven't worked with DCP files before, so any help I can get with this would be a huge help. I don't have a lot of time to figure it out either. I'm on a Mac if that helps.

Click "opt+cmd+K" or "opt+ctrl+K" on a PC to bring up the Keyboard shortcuts settings. Once You're there, click on the keyboard shortcuts drop-down menu next to "save as" and select "Adobe Premiere Pro Default" That should do it!

Hi Everyone, I've been scouring through the effects in Premiere Pro and I was curious of anybody knows how to do a Zoom Blur without the transition that I see whenever I google this. In After Effects the effect is through a radial blur and you set the type to zoom or centered. However, Premiere Pro doesn't have that same effect and was wondering if there is a possible way to do a Zoom blur in Premiere Pro. NOT TALKING ABOUT A DIRECTIONAL BLUR, a blur that runs along the z-axis. If anyone knows how to do a zoom blur in Premiere, please let me know!

Hi Everyone! I've made a text effect preset that's pretty cool and I'm thinking about selling my presets later down the road. I had a question regarding their compatibility. I use a Mac: Late 2015, 40gb ram and Am using Adobe After effects cc 2018, version 15.0.1. I was curious if I made a preset in that after effects version, would it compatible with earlier versions of after effects? Let me know Thanks, -Nick

That's a lot of replicated layers. Is there a way I can only do it with one layer or two. My computer doesn't have the Ram and graphics to run past 4 replicated layers. I'll try what you have and see if it works and let you know. Do you think it could be the Camera settings? I have my camera motion starting slow, then it pulls back fast, and comes gradually to a slow stop. I have the camera looking dead on as well. It's sitting directly in front of the text. I have my camera settings at: One node camera, set to 50 mm, with the default settings that are in there already.

Thanks for your response, Unfortunately the using plexus that way doesn't solve the issue. It's not with plexus, it's with the text behind it that matches up with the text layer with plexus applied to it. The Camera keeps a smooth back shot and gradually comes to a stop. I need the text to be following the cameras motion so I can fade it into the plexus ending text shape. Resulting in it looking like Plexus becomes the solid text.

Plexus is on a Mask path with the text. When I open the 4 views option, I only see the text (without Plexus) in the Front view but none of the other views show it. I have it layered Camera (at the top), text with plexus, and text without plexus. I've tried moving the layers around but nothing works. I've included a screenshot of all the layers revealed below in the 4 views option.

Hi, I'm experiencing this issue with After Effects. I'm building a title with Plexus 3, it's applied to a text layer under the settings of a path. I'm using the Latest Version of After Effects CC 2018 Version 15.0.0. On Mac OS X High Sierra. The only things that are in my layers is the Camera, the text with Plexus and the text without plexus. I have a the camera pulling out of Plexus forming the outline of the text. I want to have the text with no effects applied to it to fade into text with plexus while the camera continues a slowing pan back. Every time I turn the text layer, without plexus, into a 3d layer it disappears. At this point I'm sure what to do. Whenever I go back to the beginning the timeline when the camera zoom is closed in on Plexus, I do see the text in the background, but it's really big and super blurred. I can change the color but you can't even tell it's text. If anyone can provide feedback or if you need to know anything else please let me know Thanks

Hi I've been fiddling around with this title I want to do that comes from the film documentary "The Fourth Phase." It's a write on text effect. However, I can't seem to get the text to write on as smooth as theirs does in the video. I've attached a screen recording from the movie of the text reveal I'm looking to achieve. I already use the pen tool in After Effects CC 2018, I draw the masks over my text but don't connect the last point to the first point. After I have it over all the letters, I apply the stroke effect. I set the start value to 0% and keyframe 1-2 seconds later to 100%. It draws on but I can't get it as smooth as in the video I've attached. I also don't know how they continue to expand parts of the letters. Hi I had everything running perfectly before I updated premiere pro cc from 2017 to 2018 but I started running into problems after I updated to 2018. I already opened up a premiere project and had it converted over but it's doing that every time I open the project from closing out of the window. Not only does it convert it every time but I have link my after effects comps to it every time it converts it to a new project. I have after effects up to date as well. I never move anything that is linked to the premiere project because I keep all the project files on a folder on my external hard drive. If someone could help me out that would be great. I shouldn't have to link everything back together every time I open the same project. Hi I use Premiere Pro CC 2017 on Mac OS X Sierra Version 10.12.6. I worked on a project for a client a while back using premiere. Every video, picture, logo, etc. is all coming from one folder on my external hard drive, basically the whole project is saved in that folder on my hard drive. My question is, if I move that folder onto my computer then onto a new drive (exactly the same model as the one I'm using now) would I lose the sequence? Thanks Neil, I hit command M and select h.264 & have the preset go to Vimeo at 1080p 29.97fps. I usually don't check anything else except for render at Maximum quality. I hit export and have it exported to the place I desire. I'm not very smart with these kinds of functions in Premiere Pro because I haven't adjusted or even altered them in anyway. In Fact I don't even know what you mean by queuing in AME. How I can check to see if Importing Sequences natively is on. Where do I select the box that sets it to re-import into PrPro? I'm not very smart with the functionally and setting of Premiere Pro,I only know the basics, and am advanced on the shortcuts for editing. A lot of the stuff you talked about I don't really know how to do or where to find it. If you can tell me where those functions are that would be a huge help! I'm viewing this by after I export the video I open it in quicktime and the quality looks like I never even changed it. I applied lumetri color to the clip itself and had a few adjustment layers over a couple clips. But I'm not seeing the color correction changes. -Nick

Hi, I'm running into the issue where the color changes I make aren't showing up after the export out of premiere pro. I don't use preset LUTs in my videos and I only adjust the basic color correction and the curves tab. Each video has different settings. I'm currently running on a 27" iMac, with OS Sierra Version 10.12.6 and the I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 version 11.0

Hi! I know this is an old video but I wanted to learn how to do the text effect they do in this video. If anyone knows any tutorials, plugins, or presets I could use to achieve the text effects in the video I've linked below that would be awesome! I get all the video transition cuts but the titles are a mystery to me and would love any help on how I could do those! Hi I use Adobe Premiere pro cc 2017 Version 11.0 on a Mac (os Sierra version 10.12.5) & I installed the vimeo panel for premiere pro and after it was done I closed out of the app and reopened it, when I did the extensions tab under windows was greyed out and I couldn't even hover over it & see my options. I'm not really sure what to do from this point on but I want to use the Vimeo panel I installed. Any response will help! Thanks

Hi So I worked on this project in Premiere had linked comps in after effects with that premiere project. After the last comp, I saved the after effects project and quit out of the program. I start up a new project with a new name, not even linked to premiere in any way and when I start a new composition the last frame from the previous project shows up as the background but the video name doesn't appear anywhere. I even deleted the after effects project file and nothing worked. I just want it to have a black background. I have the latest version of After Effects CC 2017 up to date and it's on MAC OS X Sierra. I've provided an image of what I see The video file that shows in the screen isn't even on my computer anymore. I moved it to my hard drive so the video would no longer link. Any advice will help! thanks

Hi! I'm looking to export my presets onto my computer so I can possibly sell them to people who would make great use of them. Every time I save new presets I see the link to where they are but when I go to them on my finder outside of after effects the link doesn't work. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
