I opened a recent Audition session this morning because I needed to make an edit. But, all my "output" settings have vanished from the Multitrack view. (See photo below) I HAVE already double-checked my "Audio Hardware" settings and they are correct. It's just that I have. no way of adjusting the Output for each track in Multitrack view. Can anyone assist?

Cory, you rock. I first encountered this just today...and here you are already letting us know it's fixed as of yesterday. My auto-update would have taken care of it but it was great to see you'd addressed it here. Thanks! Out of a possible 50 tacos....I'd give you 50 tacos. Tony

One of the main tasks that we do in our office is: A. Merging an original InDesign file (approx 7.5Mb) with a CSV file; B. Exporting that resulting merged document into a PDF file During export, we've tried different Adobe PDF Presets: (High Quality Print, Press Quality, Smallest File Size, PDF/X-4, etc.) The "Smallest File Size" preset seems to be the fastest although not by much. It generally takes 3-5 minutes to create the merged document which seems a bit slow. But the real sluggishness is when we export that merged document into PDF format. It takes anywhere from 4-8 minutes and the resulting PDF is only about 2.3Mb in size. We've tried this on multiple machines. One is an iMac 3.5Ghz Quad Core i7 processor with 32Gb of 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM. The other is a Macbook Pro with 2.6 Ghz 6-core i7 processor and 16Gb 2400 Mhz DDR4 RAM. There's not really thimble's worth of difference in the export time. They pretty much run neck and neck and, when they don't, either one might outperform the other. Anyway, I have two questions: A. Is there anything I can do to speed up this process? It takes HOURS of our day for one staff member to create these PDFs. And most of that time is spent just waiting for the machine. B. What part of the computer is most integral to this kind of task? In other words, if I choose to get a new Mac before the end of the year -- and had to choose -- would I want to go with the fastest processor...or the most RAM? Which would give us the biggest boost in speed for this kind of work? Thanks in advance. I appreciate your help and would be happy to provide more information if it will help give a better answer.

With respect, I just edited my InDesign document to test this out. While i have no doubts that it's more "industry standard" in terms of compatibility...in my test, it produced a file that was 3X as big as the file with PNGs (6.8Mb with PDFs versus 2.3Mb) and the rendering time (which was what the OP was inquiring about) was longer. Again, I've no doubt that PDF/X-4 is "best practices". But, for my use, it's definitely not a solution to speeding up render times. Like the OP, I'd be interested in any solutions to render-time as well. It's genuinely confusing to me that a 2.3Mb file takes this long to render on a machine that has 32Gb of RAM and a 3.4 Quad Core Intel Core i7 processor. Anyone else have any ideas?

Pat, can I ask a clarifying question on this? We do a lot of postal mail campaigns in which we're sending an 8-page letter that has the order form pre-filled with the customer's information. We do the mail merge entirely inside InDesign. What's the advantage of using MyDataMerge instead of just using InDesign's native functionality? InDesign allows you to specify ranges of the CSV so you can manage the final size of the outputted document. I'd love some faster speed and if MyDataMerge can do that, that's great. I guess I'm not clear on what MyDataMerge is doing that I can't already do. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm having the same issue. Created a new document ensuring that it was set for 300dpi. But ALL attempts to export my image as a PNG results in a 72dpi file. Anyone know what the fix is? I'm using Illustrator 22.1 but this problem seems to have been going on for awhile based on this conversation.
