I have read up and tried fixes for the solo issue, so I am sure this is not the same. The problem for me is that audio works just fine until I quit Premiere. If I quit PP, then the next time I open it up I get no audio output at all through any device. The meters show audio playback just fine, but there is no sound coming out of my speakers. I have checked the Audio Hardware prefs, and tried using the internal speaker, switching to a Focusrite Saffire Firewire box, but nothing. The only way I can fix it is to uninstall Premiere and then reinstall it. The first time I open it audio works. If I quit Premiere then the next time audio will not work as described above. This happens in CC2017 and 2018 (v12.0.0, 12.0.1 and 12.1 and 12.1.1). Curiously, if I go back to CS6 audio works just fine, and all other apps like Audition are fine too. Exporting a sequence does produce a file with audio, so there's that at least. Having to uninstall and reinstall Premiere every time I quit the app is NOT a good solution. What can you suggest I do besides just leaving it open forever? MacPro 4,1 (early 2009) Dual quadcore 2.26GHz, 24GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 (2GB) OS X 10.11.6
