Have you considered animating the text in PP. It will probably lose some motion capabilities, but you would be able to adjust them on the fly. Dan

At the bottom of the composition panel (the panel that shows your video), there is a drop box menu where you can choose your render quality. Choose quarter and it should render and play faster. Hope this helps.

Hey again, It does seem silly, I agree. But it is not important how you get to your end result, what's important is that you get there. I used to be just like you, always wondering if I'm doing things the fastest way. Now I don't care, as long as I get the job done. Another option to align the text is, press ctrl+R on your keyboard. Click the ruler on the left side of the screen and drag a guideline onto your document. Making sure the "align to pixel grid icon" is selected at the top-right part of your screen, you can manually line up your text on the guide line. Zoom in to make sure you align your text precisely. Now you can have your text aligned while keeping the text live. Hope this helps. (if your still unsatisfied maybe I can think of another solution, let me know) Dan

Hi Jess, Select both text, and click object>expand (make sure you are committed to the text first though [format, message, etc]). Then, with both text still selected, choose an alignment option in the control panel (horizontal bar at the top part of the screen). Hope this helps. Dan

Hi Hedger, There are multiples ways of doing this. Mike has a good idea. But you can also, select a circle you wish to move, then write down it's width and height values found in the control panel (the horizontal bar that runs across the top of your screen). Then, select all the circles you wish to move, group them, then scale them upwards (or downwards). Then, ungroup the selection and input the width and height values to each individual circle. Hope this helps.

Hey Printer Rick, Sorry, at this point in time it is impossible to rotate, with the transform effect, without getting that unwanted curve. Don't know what you have against expanding your work, but that is how you solve this problem. The easiest solution is to expand your image, select all the square, and center align them. It's that easy. If, for some reason, you want to save the square image with the transform effect attached to it, simply make a copy of it, and set it to the side. That way you can adjust it later if you like.

Make a short breeze like motion with the puppet tool. Then duplicate the key frames a bunch of time to make the animation move continuously. You can also loop the comp, once you establish the keyframes. Here's a short video on how to loop comps After Effects Tutorial | After Effects | Looping Compositions - YouTube

This might work. Precomp your entire composition. Then scale the width to -100% (width only). Then go into your precomp and do the same for all the text layers.
