What about a font that Photoshop alters the cap "i" from sans serif to serif such as Classic Comic? The example is sans but in Photoshop a serif is added.

"Should" but isn't... I just spent an hour with the India call center and no one there could figure out why Photoshop 2024 dropped all the Mac Font Book fonts (which worked fine in earlier versions of PS). The fonts show as active but PS can't find them. And if a file is opened with the "missing" fonts, PS wants to replace them. In the end, "support/help" gave up without any recommendations. I've had to use an older Mac laptop with a 2018 version of PS to work with Mac Font Book fonts as before. Is this a "bug"; and if so, anyone know when it will be fixed? (India is befuddled by it.) Yes! That's the solution. Thank you. I've sent the attached screen capture to the Call Center with a "closed" case number, so hopefully all those techs who couldn't figure this out will share the info. And hopefully Adobe programmers will fix this awful defect in the New Book output process. Daniel San Antonio

Has anyone had any problem with the 2023 InDesign New Book palette when trying to output a PDF? When I upload the chapters to the palette each one gets scrambled: text boxes and images shift off the page and recto/verso set-ups get rearranged into spreads. I've had a dozen "open cases" for 6 weeks, and 5 different techs from India have "screen shared" to explore the problem. They even downloaded some chapters and tested on their computers at the call center, with the same results. They finally gave up without ever finding a solution! (One backend solution has been to save each chapter as a PDF and then combine those PDFs via Acrobat.) Thanks, Daniel San Antonio

Hi Daniel, Pressing Tab to hide the panels and display more screen space goes back 30 years to the first version of PageMaker, which used a runtime version of Windows 2.0. You can hover over the edge of a hidden panel to temporarily bring it back and click something in it. I find it especially useful when traveling and working on a 13” laptop, so I hope it is never disabled! Thank you. This makes sense -- I was looking at my screen and thought I pressed Caps Lock, but must've hit Tab. I'll remember this next time. It's a royal pain to rebuild the Photoshop workspace the way I prefer. Daniel

I was watching a Youtube tutorial on creating comics dialog balloons ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xINp7U7ykvk )(scroll to 9:45 mins). The instructions were simple except the Transform Tool shown in the tutorial isn't available with my 2018 version of Photoshop (or is it??) I called the help center in India TWICE, and both times the reps viewed the tutorial but after an hour of opening/closing windows, scrolling menus, and experimenting, decided they didn't have an answer. Anyone know how to disable/remove that annoying black measurements box that pops up when a move tool is engaged or a freeform box initiated? For tiny copy/paste work (the iris of an eye), that black OBSCURES the object I need to visually place/reposition.
