We're deep into September now, report cards for the first grading period are on the horizon for some of you, routines have settled, and this month gave us a lot to celebrate. Let's catch up on everything that happened.
Our First Global, Combined ACE Community Call 🎉
In September, ACE Leaders and ACE Innovators came together for the first time in one shared, global Community Call. Nearly 200 educators from all around and the energy carried straight through both. We shared resources like the ACE Leader Toolkit which has the registration link for our October Community Call listed too: adobe.ly/eduaceleadertoolkit
Right after, Student Ambassador Site Leads stuck around for a continuation session. Thank you to everyone for your time and conversation! It’s exciting to see ACE Leaders stepping into official Student Ambassador Site Lead roles, giving their students a clear path to lead, create, and connect before they graduate and find a continued space for them as Higher Education Student Ambassadors. Community building community, literally passing the torch forward so we can best serve our students and improve outcomes in our classes.

A heartfelt thank you to ACE Innovator Sean Price who walked both calls through animation in Adobe Express, starting students there before advancing them into Creative Cloud tools like Animate, and using Adobe Aqua to draw, export, and animate. Fellow ACE Innovator Matt Dombrowski made sure to be there just to support his friend. How awesome and special! I love how this Community makes each other feel! 🥰

NEW Release: Adobe Student Spaces in Acrobat 🚀
We used Student Spaces for our Community Call recap already creating some study tools, Cheat Sheet and Video Summary, for anyone who missed it - found in the ACE Leader Toolkit. International Dot Day: A Livestream to Remember 🎨
September 15 was International Dot Day, and this year we didn't just celebrate it, we got to celebrate it with the person who started it all. Peter H. Reynolds, author and illustrator of The Dot, joined Adobe Live for a special draw-along session, reading sections of the book aloud, unveiling a brand new Dot Day island built inside Aqua by Adobe, and talking openly about pushing past the fear of failure to just start with a mark.

A few dates worth planning for now, while you've still got some breathing room before the month gets busy:
Custodian Appreciation Day (October 2)
- Design a Thank-You Card or Poster: Students create a card or poster thanking the custodial staff who keep their school running. adobe.ly/classposterB2S
World Teachers' Day (October 5)
- Create a "Thank a Teacher" Tribute Graphic: Students design a card or graphic honoring a teacher, past or present, who made a real impact on them. adobe.ly/aboutmeB2S
National Day on Writing (October 20)
- Design a "Why I Write" Graphic: Students reflect on why they write, and turn their answer into a shareable graphic.
- Create a Book Cover Activity: Take the Create a Book Cover project and design a cover for a book they would write about. adobe.ly/bookcoverB2S
Halloween (October 31)
- Design a Character Mash-Up Comic: Using Comic Creator, students remix two characters into one spooky, silly new creation, a fun seasonal hook to close out the month.
