Strengthening Acrobat Sign Security with Modern Transport Layer Security (TLS)
Adobe supports the latest TLS standards. TLS 1.3 is the latest supported version. Adobe is proactively identifying customers still using older TLS 1.2 cipher suites and will contact them with migration guidance to help move to stronger configurations before those cipher suites are removed. Most customers don't need to take any action.
Why Transport Layer Security (TLS) matters
Transport Layer Security (TLS) establishes a secure communication channel between Acrobat Sign and the users or integrated systems that interact with it.
Throughout the agreement lifecycle, TLS helps provide:
- Encryption to protect data while it is transmitted.
- Data integrity to help ensure agreements aren't modified during transmission.
- Authentication, including support for mutual TLS (mTLS) for webhook event notifications on Acrobat Sign Solutions and Acrobat Sign for Government accounts, to help reduce the risk of unauthorized connections.
- Privacy for sensitive business, financial, and personal information exchanged during signing workflows.
