InDesign 17.2 - Improved User Experience, Stability, Performance, Bug Fixes and more.
Hi all,
The March 2022 InDesign (17.2) update is now available for download from the Creative Cloud Desktop application. You should see improved user experience, stability, performance enhancements, and bug fixes in this release.
Note:- This is a phase-wise rollout and the updates will be available to users of different countries in the next few days. Check your notifications in the Creative Cloud Desktop application or refresh the application to check for updates.
The following user experience issues have been addressed:
- Improved Selection Tool and Direct Selection Tool icons in Dark and Medium Dark themes.
- [macOS only] Improved Articles panel icon.
- [macOS only] Correction of tooltip in Preferences dialog.
- Improved CC icon in Character panel in Light color theme.
InDesign 17.2 also provides fix for the following Stability and Performance related issues:-
- Crash on creating floating documents at higher UI Scaling settings.
- [Win only] Crash on launch in "PlugPlugOwl.dll".
- [Win only] Crash on opening a document with Pages panel open in the workspace.
- [macOS only] Random crash while rendering document in GPU mode.
- Improvement in rendition time of Share for Review links on web.
Core feature and workflow related fix are as mentioned below:-
- Endnotes content can leak into the main story.
- Forced Line Break causes an extra space in Text Variables.
- [macOS only] Rendering issues on moving document window across monitors.
