InDesign 18.2 - Improved Performance & Bug Fixes

Hi all,

The February 2023 InDesign update (18.2) is now available for download from the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Update to this version to take advantage of all the performance improvements and bug fixes listed below.

Note:- This is a phase-wise rollout, and updates will be available to users of different countries in the coming days. Check your notifications in the Creative Cloud Desktop application, or refresh the application to check for updates.

Feature & workflow related fixes:

• Issue with Drop Cap with Negative First Line Indent.
• While importing excel as an unformatted table, formula-based cells are imported incorrectly.
• Pantone Libraries removed from InDesign showing imported PSD files containing Spot Channels as Gray/Black.
• Color differences between GPU and CPU on macOS Ventura.

Stability and Performance fixes:

• InDesign sometimes crashes on opening multiple documents together.
• InDesign stops responding while working on any file due to high CPU usage.

Improvements to copy-paste-related workflow & some other bugs have also been fixed. For additional details, see Fixed Issues in InDesign.
