Please fix this. I’m only editing 200 photos. It should not glitch this much. I have to hard reset my PC every 30 minutes. This update has destroyed my ability to use the app.

This update has completely destroyed my lightroom performance. 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU (6 GB) 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H (2.40 GHz).

Is there a way to revert back to 15.2?

    I can’t even click menus.

I only use AI for masking sky/landscape. Nothing else.

I have a large catalog 300k images (JPG+RAW) running off a network drive. Whilst I expect some network performance - since the update to 15.3 I can’t even select an unedited picture and edit in Nik 7 for example.

I have also tried updating to the latest NVIDIA studio drivers with no success

Paying for a product that is now unusable.

This version is a real flop. Meanwhile we pay... Adobe should put the AI in the bug fix.. they love it so much it.

I’ve tried reverting back to 15.2 and still having the same problem. This evening I used a landscape /mountain mask for the first time (normally I use sky /select inverse). Not sure if it that completely trashed the application.  I’ve deliberately renamed the folder on my drive and it has lost reference to it, and removed it.  (I’d only edited half a dozen photos this evening). It all started when I then clicked an Edit in. Some message popped up on crashing saying that it couldn’t process all my AI Edits or future AI edits may be lost… Doing a mask selection - I appreciate it’s assisting with the masking, but it shouldn’t bring the whole application down.  Backing up my catalog now after removing the folder. Going to try and export /edit something after restarting. If the copying catalog ever completes….

What is interesting is the moment i disconnected my wifi as well and it couldn’t locate pictures, lightroom became instantly usable again.  Now I’m connected hopefully the edit will work, now that I’ve removed that completely from the catalog.

    Hello,

I'm sorry to say this, but version 15.3 is very unstable. I've been using Lightroom since version 3 and I've never had so many problems. It doesn't recognize Hasselblad .fff files, it's extremely slow, and Lightroom takes forever to open. Perhaps installing the latest Tahoe 26.5 version has also made Lightroom Classic unstable. I take some of the blame; I should wait before installing the latest versions.

Has the memory leak problem in Lightroom Classic 15.2 been resolved?

Hi, are there any plans to support the Canon R6 mark iii in tethered capture, when is this likely to happen?

Sometimes, LrC upgrades to a new empty catalog. This is easily fixed, your previous catalog is still available. Use your operating system’s search feature to search all files in all folders whose name ends .LRCAT. The largest of the files found is probably the one you want, double-click on it to open it and then you will probably have to upgrade it and you should be all set. if the largest of the files found is not the catalog you want, keep double-clicking on all files found until you find the catalog file you want.

PS: Better you should ask in the Questions area rather than here in the announcement. You will get more views and quicker answers.

I dunno if I'm imagining things, but 15.3 seems so much snappier moving between modules (I use Library, Develop and Print extensively).  It’s like you’ve given a new lease on life for my M1 Max!  Good job! 👏
