I dont know if its the update. but the playback freezes for almost 8 secs everytime before it plays. Now that I have a deadline of course!

Hey Broc_Roll, there are some potential solutions to playback issues in this YouTube video. Let us know if any of these suggestions helps with your playback lag.

Does it happen in all projects or just one?

Hi Pedro! Are you using the “warp stabilizer” effect? What issues do you see with it?

Let us know some more details. We’re happy to help!

Então o estabilizador sempre deixa minhas imagens flutuando por mais que eu mexa nos paramentos, até o capcut consegue fazer melhor que ele.

And still after all these years, the curse of the black video when speed ramping a nested sequence….sigh.

Hey Dutchmen – I’m trying to reproduce this behavior on my computer so we can file a bug and get it fixed. Can you answer a couple of questions for me so we can fix this for you?

  1. Do you have speed adjustments made to any clips inside the nested sequence as well?
  2. Are you on a Mac or PC?

Let us know!

Hi Storylabs,

Very sorry to hear you’re having audio playback issues! Here are a few ideas that may solve your problem.

  • Lower playback resolution from “full” to one of the other options. See screenshot!
  • Use the toolbar at the top to go to Audio Hardware Preferences. Set the default input to “None”

    • On PC: use the toolbar at the top to go to Edit>Preferences>Audio hardware

    • On Mac: use the toolbar at the top to go to Premiere>Settings>Audio Hardware

I hope one of these solutions can improve your experience of version 26. Please let us know.

I prefer the previous masking tool. It worked fine. It was easy. Quickly whipping up a mask in opacity or an effect. For people like me who use Premiere every day, often with tight turnarounds, updates like this are incredibly frustrating. Sure, upgrade the masking, but give us the options we had before as well. I think the majority of us would much rather a performance update, especially for Sony codecs.

Select Opacity or and Effect first then draw.

Hello, why did it only appear now? Do these implemented fixes actually work?
Here, I had already updated one of the production company's computers to version 26.0.1.3, but the performance was very poor, with crashes and other bugs that people have already reported here on the forum.

The production company's machines have a Ryzen 7700x, Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB of DDR5 and an NVMe SSD. My personal computer has a Ryzen 5700x, RTX 5060ti and 32 GB of DDR4. I ended up going back to version 25.6, despite the bugs and slowness, as it is the most stable version on the computers here. If this 26.0 update really has all the features and fixes working correctly now, I will update the production company's computers and my personal one, even though I have already tested it since it appeared for me and there was nothing on the forum about it. I am waiting for more information to decide whether to update. Used latest drivres nvidi studio

Hi Victor, thanks for all these details. Sorry to see there were issues with your update! Let’s take a closer look.

I noticed you mentioned that you have bugs and slowness on 25.6 as well as 26.0.1, is that correct? Here are a few questions that can help us provide some solutions for you.

  • Are you updating Premiere in the middle of working on a project? It’s best to stay on one version for the duration of your project.
  • What type of footage do you typically edit? What do you use to record it?
  • How big are your projects? Where do you store your projects?

The fixes and features mentioned in our post are verified by our engineering team. You can try updating your personal laptop to the latest version before you update the whole team’s.

Feel free to send me a private message if you would prefer.

Good afternoon, I edit videos from Canon, Sony, and Panasonic cameras, both of which use AVCHD codecs - .mov - mpg4 - mxf.avc. Sometimes I have some demands in 4k, but most of the work is in full HD. Regarding updates, I've been using version 25.6 for quite some time now. I have other posts here on the forum reporting performance problems about updating to version 26. Since we bought new computers, I decided to install it on one to test machines, all AM5, so that they wouldn't claim hardware incompatibility problems. Everything should work correctly, right?
Despite these problems, 25.6 is the one that performed best here. It's possible to edit, even if it takes a little longer, but it works better than 26. Thank you for your attention. I hope that you at ADOBE will correct these flaws in the program. Having fluid editing and fast exporting is the most essential thing for you to try to fix.
