Now in Beta: 16-Bit PNG Support
We're excited to introduce 16-bit PNG support in the latest Premiere Pro beta release (v25.6 build 64 or later), unlocking higher-fidelity workflows for HDR and professional color grading.
Why it matters:
- HDR-ready workflows now support 16Bit PNG source media.
- Avoid banding artifacts and preserve more color detail in post.
How to see this new feature in action:
- Update to the latest Premiere Pro beta: v25.6 build 64 or newer.
- Create a new project.
- Import a 16-bit PNG file and add it to a sequence.
- Open Lumetri Scopes — you'll notice a denser, more detailed pattern, showing the improved bit depth handling.
