Hi Everyone,

Thank you for the additional reports and testing. With the reports now coming from multiple people, I’ve escalated this to the Photoshop product team as a potential regression in Photoshop 27.10.

What makes this particularly important is that we can see a consistent pattern across the reports.

Dave has found related reports in the Photoshop Beta 27.11 community where the same GPU-dependent color behavior was being investigated before the 27.10 GA release.

I have found one more that might be related as well:

For anyone else seeing the same issue, please add your vote, share your System Info from PS Help > System Info, and confirm whether disabling Use Graphics Processor fixes the issue. Those details will help us determine the scope and narrow down the regression.

For color-critical work, the current reports indicate that temporarily disabling Use Graphics Processor or reverting to 27.9.1 can avoid the incorrect rendering.

I’ll update this thread as soon as I hear back from the product team.

Same problem. I invested a lot of time, till I found out, that a reset solved the problem. But it would be sensefull to be able to work with the newest version. Adobe it is not funny

Same problem. Seems like two things are for certain with Adobe these days.
Bugged/slow software and pricing beyond any reason whatsoever.

If only there was a good alternative to Lightroom...

Spent an hour yesterday wondering wtf was going on with just Photoshop showing oversaturated colors, when putting the exact same correctly profiled document in InDesign side by side on a perfectly hardware calibrated monitor. I redid my monitor calibration and resaved it in the monitor’s 3D lut, reapplied the profile in Windows, verified I had ACM disabled and still the same issue. Started going mad until I found the many threads on here…

Adobe, you really gotta get your act together with these borked releases it’s becoming infuriating.

Can confirm that the bug disappears when completely disabling GPU rendering.

Screenshot of the issue with same sRGB file opened in InDesign on the left (accurate) and Photoshop on the right (bugged). When opening Camera Raw, the bug disappears too.

Same issue here.
Windows 11 Pro (Build 26200), RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB (driver 610.62, CUDA 13.3), Ryzen 9 9950X, 64GB RAM.
JPEGs saved in Adobe RGB display correctly in 27.9.x, but wrong/oversaturated in 27.10.

Issue: The same sRGB JPEG is displayed with visibly different contrast in Photoshop 27.10.0 when GPU acceleration is enabled compared with Windows Photos and Firefox.

System:

Windows
Photoshop 27.10.0
RTX 4090
Latest NVIDIA Studio driver
EIZO EV2750, calibrated with Spyder

Test results:

Photoshop + GPU ON → image appears noticeably more contrasty.
Windows Photos / Firefox → image appears less contrasty.
Photoshop + GPU completely OFF → Photoshop matches Windows Photos/Firefox exactly.

I also tested the Photoshop GPU options:

OpenCL: ON
GPU Compositing: ON
30-bit Display: OFF

Updating the NVIDIA driver made no difference.

The JPEG itself is not the cause: reopening the exported JPEG in Photoshop produces the same appearance as the original sRGB document.

The issue therefore appears to be related specifically to Photoshop's GPU-accelerated canvas/display rendering.

Is this a known bug in Photoshop 27.10.0?

Ich öffne mit Bridge ein Bild in RAW-Konverter.

Mit “Öffnen” transporte ich das Bild nach Photoshop.

Hier werden Rottöne intensiver dargestellt als in Camera-RAW.

Ich muss jedesmal mit “Farbton/Sättigung” den Rotton korrigieren.

In Camera-RAW wie auch in Photoshop (beides neueste Updates) ist sRGB eingestellt.

Was mache ich falsch.

I open an image in the RAW converter using Bridge.

I use ‘Open’ to transfer the image to Photoshop.

Here, red tones appear more intense than in Camera Raw.

I have to correct the red tones every time using ‘Hue/Saturation’.

Both Camera Raw and Photoshop (both running the latest updates) are set to sRGB.

What am I doing wrong?
