CC Library goes blank after deleting one or more files in indesign

I have had this issue for about a month now, where the CC library goes blank after I delete 1 or more files by clicking the trashcan icon or dragging the item(s) to it.

The thing that has resolved the issue is to close and restart InDesign, but the issue occurs again if I do the same thing.

InDesign version: 20.4.1

Operating system: Windows 11

I am glad you found a temporary workaround @Maja326555487e0g . This is something that should definitely not be required with the system put in place.

I am wondering if you get to the same situation that you could possibly collect your logs and provide them so that an engineer can take a closer look.

Hi @smorrice

Thank you for your reply. I dug deeper into the issue and found a temporary solution if the issue occurs; you have to delete your LIBS folder while all Adobe apps are closed. When an app is opened after the LIBS folder is deleted, the folder will be rebuilt. The thought was that a file in my LIBS folder was corrupted.

This might be a result of a previous issue I had, where my Illustrator had trouble saving correctly - it didn't link the open file in Illustrator to the saved files. The open file remained Untitled* while a corrupted version was saved - it would only contain 1 artboard, and I think some of them couldn't save with the edits I made. An Adobe employee in the service chat believed it to be due to corrupted files in my preferences folder. After they were deleted, Illustrator could save correctly again. Since I tried to save my artwork in my CC Library, I might have contaminated my LIBS folder with the corrupted file as well. Since deleting my preference folder fixed the issue, I didn't think my LIBS folder would also have an issue.

Hi,

Sorry for the issue you are seeing in Indesign. I believe we have looked at a bug similar to this. I'll double check and get it on our plate. Thank you so much for taking the time to log it here.
