InDesign 20.4 CC library keeps freezing

I have to quit out of InDesign and reopen. The library will work for a little while and then stop working again. Can't select anything, can't scroll, can't drag items to my workboard. This only started happening when I upgraded InDesign yesterday.

I have found if on start up you open a blank document and not use, then just open new or other documents then the libraries don't freeze.

This works for me - thank you.

Maybe the freeze occurs if InDesign is active but no documents are open.

This would mean it only occurs on a Mac as you can have apps active but it will not quit when you close a document.

Does Adobe test any of their product before sending them out? Or are we the testers... then, it takes forever to get fixed. I have so many annoying bugs I have to contantly work around.

1. Like this person says, my Libraires only work when I reboot InDesign
2. When I have photoshop open, then i click the artboard, to moves photshop behind all my other open windows, even if it's selected.

I got more, but right now, i would like those to just get fixed..... PLEASE! Someday!

I am have the exact same problem! Hopefully there will be a fix soon. Now I need to restart Indesign 5 times a day.

I am having the same problem as well, sorry I can't offer any support but hoping if enough of us post Adobe will adress the issue.

I am having the same issue for the past month or so. IT here have been trying to figure it out for the past 2 days. Nothing fixes the problem. Really annoying.

This answer does not help. My apps do not freeze at launch. My CC libraries freeze in InDesign and I have to relaunch the app in order to get it to unfreeze only for it to freeze again.
