InDesign adds white backgrounds to CC library vectors

When I add vector graphics with no backgrounds to my CC libraries, they all display with white backgrounds in CC libraries, making it impossible to see white graphics.

When dropping a CC library asset into an Illustrator file, it appears fine, with transparency. However, when adding to an InDesign file, it always adds a white background. If I do File > Place and add a vector from my computer, it appear fine with transparency. It's only when added from CC libraries it adds a white background.

I used a vector, you used an image, maybe that is the difference.

So when I use Place, the objects already have a transparent background. But if added from CC library, they don't.

Also, when I use Place, the dialog box I get looks different. There isn't a "Transparent Background" checkbox:

I tried both checking and unchecking the box, it doesn't seem to make a difference to either the Placed objects nor the CC libraries objects.

When I use Place to add a vector object specifically, even if I check the Import Options checkbox, no dialog window pops up. But Placed vectors do have transparent backgrounds already.
